No offense to you and the boys....but if I could choose a night every once in a while as a platinum Marriott person over fighting snow I would already be soaking in a hot tub right now.

DH must like you guys.:flowers::flowers:

No offense taken................**** I would too!!!

I've avoided the question so far.

DD14 got her phone when she was 8. :hides: She is the "baby," so she's pretty independent after watching the older ones do things. She caught me following her to school while she was walking with her friends. It was totally for my sanity, so she could call me the SECOND she got on the playground. She was *super* tiny at the time and it was the teeniest phone you've ever seen so it could fit in her back pocket.

My DH got home a lot earlier than expected. I wasn't expecting him until 10:00 at least but 1) he did not have to stay late at work and 2) his 7:00-9:00 seminar was cancelled due to the snowstorm. He ended up leaving work around 3:30 and took side roads because nothing was moving on the expressways. He took a route he doesn't usually go and ended up driving by a Krispy Kreme and brought home a dozen donuts.

I honestly don't know if I should kiss him or slap him. He knows that Krispy Kremes are my weakness and I don't really need or want the temptation right now.

AWWW...kiss him, he meant well regardless...plus he probably thinks you are beautiful just the way you are!

Stressed out of my mind.

Hoping this thread is secure enough to talk here...

DH has had ongoing breathing issues etc...for over a year now. Recently was diagnosed (sort of)...with asthma.

He is sooooooo out of breath CONSTANTLY. He wheezes all the time. He is out of energy. Sooooo sick.

I don't think he has asthma....it reads sooo much more like COPD from what I have been reading. Asthma comes and goes in episodes. COPD is constant (and get worse) :pout:

Our family is completely financially dependent on him right now (and for years)

His work is physically demanding.

I am scared. really scared.

He went to work and borrowed someone else's van....when he got back to leave their van and pick up his....the (insert horrific word here) plowed a store lot's worth of snow against HIS van.

He has been digging it out with a small regular snow shovel....alone. They are no even helping him. He is soooooo sick. sooooooo sick.....

He then has to unload the borrowed van into his van...come home...and somehow get his van into our driveway.

Emm says he plans to come in and sleep.

I am really really worried about my dh's health and our future right now.

overwhelmingly so. :pout:

I love that my kids know that it's okay to go to bed before your bedtime if you feel the need. Last night DD8 had a tummy ache so at 7:30, she said, I'm heading to bed. Tonight, DS15 came into the kitchen at 8pm and said "I'm tired, goodnight." Okay, sounds good to me.

He isn't one that complains. seriously...by the time he was complaining I had been worried for months.

He went to the ER at 1 in the morning a few days ago..because he soooo couldn't breathe. For those that know what I am talking about his peak flow meter reading was 400. (he should be about 600 for a healthy male his age/height)

He HAS been going to a doctor...several. They all told him he needs inhalers etc...and are calling it asthma.

I have been googling and reading about COPD and MANY patients are misdiagnosed with asthma until it worsens. Which is why I am trying to read up on it. Asthma (and allergies) just don't FIT.

Dh came in....did his prayers....and put on his hat and coat and went out to shovel. I want to vomit. I begged him to stay in...have dinner, get someone to come plow. nope.

"It will be worse when it freezes" and out he went.

His work ethic and taking care of us is a big part of why I love him so much...but right now I am just waiting and watching (periodically) out the window ready to call 911 if I need to do so and wishing at this moment he was a lazy POS....

All he spoke about on the ride home (besides how he can't breathe and MUST have pneumonia) is that he was going to come in and just rest half an hour and lay down.

he didn't :pout:

AND, for those wondering.....everyone in the house wants to go out and help....he won't hear of it. Absolutely not. :pout:

Barb I'm so sorry....hope he is okay.. does he have one of those nebulizer (sp) machines? for a breathing treatment when he come in?

yes. We have a nebulizer with albuterol.

He usually doesn't come in until it is done....completely done.

I am hoping he reconsiders tonight.

Thanks for a place to put my fears and anxiety out of my head.
