Note to self: Do not let DS6 play Angry Birds on your smartphone without asking him if he washed his hands after dinner!

We had soup, rolls, and fruit for dinner. My phone is so sticky, it's like someone dipped it in melted marshmallow or something ... ick!

Just cracked open a bottle of wine.

My MIL is here for her recovery from shoulder surgery. I had told DH that he had to stay with her at her condo if the attic wasn't done. Clearly I lost that war. She is very sweet & easy going, but this is going to be a longgggggg 2-3 weeks. :surrender: If the f'ing attic isn't done by Tuesday there is a good chance I will need to be institutionalized.

My BIL just called from CA to check on his mother. I talked to him for longer than usual. I think I just had 5 minutes of living vicariously through him & SIL: childless & living in LA.

Dragonfly what kind of wine? I am contemplating a sweet red from Cooper's hawk. And how is the whitening of the softball pants going. Ours are soaking in Oxyclean for 6 hours now but it doesn't look good

 I don't know. It's a $6 pinot noir with a white label from Walgreens. :dunce: It's not bad...I bought one & then bought a few more because for $6, I don't feel bad if I don't finish. Not a problem tonight. ;)

DD19 did my grocery shopping today. She bought a bottle of liquid Oxy Clean for darks/colors. I think I will return it...I thought it was powder? I don't know. I know they make one for whites. I cannot believe yours is taking 6+ hours. I guess I need to get on it tomorrow. :surrender: DD's pants are too big & the zipper is broken. I might just order her a new pair. The coach said not to, but it's kind of silly to wear too big, broken pants to 35 games. :duh: But the new ones will be white, so it might be obvious.

Why can my DH never clean up after himself? It's almost to the point where I dread him going in the kitchen to make something, anything.

We are having a party and he wanted to make soup. He made the soup and as usual, left the stove and counter tops splattered, a ton of dirty dishes and pots in the sink, etc. If I ask him to clean it up, he'll say that I'm always criticizing him and it's not really a big deal. If I clean it up, I'll be upset and resentful the whole time I do it because I know it will just happen again the next time he cooks.

I have 8 yo and 6 yo boys to clean up after all the time but sometimes it feels like I have a 43 yo boy to clean up after all the time too.

<Sigh> ... just needed to get that off my chest.

WOW, that was fast. They Fed Ex overnighted me my new card and I just got it. I didn't even report my card until late afternoon yesterday so they move really fast.

Weird thing is, I think they upped my credit limit too because I don't remember it being so high before ... I guess they want me to rush out to the mall and start charging right away and even more than before LOL.

Well, I guess the call to Discover was relatively painless. I was on the phone for maybe 12 minutes which wasn't terrible.

I had to go over which transactions were/weren't mine and verify some other info. They cancelled my card. Then they offered to Fed Ex me my new card since I charge about 2K a month on there and I guess Discover didn't want me to charge on my AMEX for too long so I'll have their card back in my hot little hands in no time at all. LOL.

And again I just want to say that dishonest people REALLY SUCK.

Whoever out there that thinks they are getting a brand new baby monitor on someone else's dime, well, you thought wrong!

Made some strawberry scones this AM from a mix that I bought at TJ MAXX. Seriously good. Not hard or dry at all. I love buying foodstuffs from TJ Maxx and have never gone wrong. Bought English tea from there and was delish. Too bad they don't take coupons.

Yum. I use this recipe for chocolate chip scones and it's actually pretty easy:

Funny, But seriously, you have no idea how much easier the bullet is to deal with. I was doing smoothies with my blender until DH brought home the bullet and now I don't know how I lived without it. (I know I sound like the infomercial
Guy,lol.)

I too worship at the Bullet.:cartwheel::cartwheel:
