I just went to the PO. I feel no exaggeration in saying I feel like we risked our lives to send my trades on time.

AND....my other duck is still stuck at the school....and I wish dh and she could stay there until tomorrow :-(

REALLY REALLY BAD.....if you can....STAY home, or in or put.

He told me he didn't want to go with the neighbor because he & a buddy were going to go walk around the neighborhood and ask to shovel driveways. Mind you, he did that last week when it snowed and came home with empty pockets. Going with the neighbor is guaranteed $$$$$. SMH.

Sure, ill bet that's what they did......

He could have at least shoveled our driveway before he left. DH is in California so I won't be getting out there until all the littles go to bed tonight. Guess that's my workout for today :)

It's amazing how regular eating kind of kids can be transformed into fairly nonpicky eat whatever types. We have had so many new foods in the past month and the kids have been eating them. The key really is to not make it an option. It's this or nothing today, tomorrow, the next day, etc.... They really will eat whatever you give them when they are hungry.

I so wish this was true in all cases. Lex is now down 10 percent of his body weight since we had to switch foods due to his allergies. He will sit there and cry that he is hungry and eat nothing if it isn't one of his liked foods. I'm afraid to let him miss more than one meal so I try something new, that he won't eat, and then go to a meal that I know he will.

So far I think he's winning this battle.

He probably just needs to get used to the new choices, Canadia. 4 & 5 yo's are known for their stubbornness. He won't starve, he'll be ok. :huggy: I don't see anything wrong with finding a few things he loves & sticking to them. It's a special circumstance & his choices are pretty limited.

I made my DD19 vegetarian food for 16 years. Still do. My other kids don't have any "dietary" restrictions, so they can eat whatever I make. I just don't want to spend 30 years of my life being a short order cook. ;)

canadia I'm right there with you. DS10 has been like this his whole life. He has a ped appointment tomorrow to weigh him. His ped wants to see him every three months to monitor his weight and height. He's always under weight and isn't growing as much as she would like. So every three months I get to hear her lecture me about getting him to eat and sleep better (he's never been a good sleeper either) so he can grow. :surrender:

Years ago there were always kids walking around with shovels during or after a storm looking to make some money by shoveling steps, walkways, driveways. I can't remember the last time that happened.

Lazy ****s.

My sons 14 and 12 have lawn tractors with plows. They love going around town and plowing for people.

Fun! My neighbor has a 4 wheeler with a plow on it so when it gets really bad, he does everyone's driveways. :cartwheel: Most of us have snow blowers (we have 2 different sized ones) so we're in good shape.

Wow, he really does travel a lot. My boss has platinum status too. It comes in handy when the hotel is sold out yet they will still get him a room. He's got similar status on United (earned it on Continental before they merged).

No offense to you and the boys....but if I could choose a night every once in a while as a platinum Marriott person over fighting snow I would already be soaking in a hot tub right now.

DH must like you guys.:flowers::flowers:
