DD had audition at DePaul this morning. She amazes me, she was steady as a rock, but I had to pop a xanax to get through it. We had to come straight home, pack a bag and leave for WIU in Macomb for morning double audition. Wow, what a drive. I felt like I was in the nothingness of New Mexico. I'm beat, I hope tomorrow is less stressful.

Maybe I need Xanax. I get hives before every game. I finally told DD that last night, as I was frantically scratching my jaw line. :hides:

I brought them with in case she had a panic attack from stress but after I saw that they had 6 professors judging her I was feeling the anxiety. It's only about 40 miles home and I slept like a baby the whole ride....yes, you should try it. It just feels like you had one glass of wine. Nice and relaxed.
 
So I just drove DD14 to her friends house & realized that I have put 8000 miles on our car since we bought it Sept. 1st. And we haven't even hit "heavy sports season" yet. I should start a kid shuttling service. That is all I do. Wishing that we'd bought a new car because I'm going to need those original 45,000 miles it had on it. :p

I remember when I saw the movie in the winter of 1966...I went with a guy I worked with (Marshall Fields in Oak Park)...his name escapes me, but he did have a burgandy Mustang...he didn't want to pay for parking so we had to walk about 6 blocks to the theater...it was one of the fancy ones Downtown where you had to buy tickets in advance/assigned seats...after the show he took me out for ice cream...which would have been fine, but it was about 17 below...never went out with him again...

DH is off work today so he took DD10 & DD8 down to Chicago for the day....Their first train ride, first time to Chicago, first time to the Art Institute, first time in the Willis Tower, first time seeing the bean......yes, I'm a little jealous and irritated that he gets to do "fun stuff" on his day off and I never ever never ever never ever get a day off, let alone get to do "fun stuff/fun firsts" with just one or two of the kiddos.
