sigh.....was so excited to have a babysitter coming today. Well, DD had a fever last night so I knew it was best to tell sitter and let her make decision whether to come or not. She decided not to come. Don't blame her at all, just sad I won't get the stuff done today that I planned.

I know folks who were aunts & uncles from the minute they were born...

I'm trying to think if my dad was an uncle when he was born. If he wasn't he most certainly was by the time he was 5. My aunt (the youngest of the children) was already an aunt at the time of her birth.

My mom has nephews who are older than her. My dad's nephew (his sister's son) who was a few years younger than him died of heart attack last year.

It's just so messed up, I became an uncle at 31 :faint: still too early. My mom became a grandma at a respectable 54 still pretty early but she had kids young (23-26)'. but 29 as a grandma :faint: Thats what this country is becoming unfortunately :dunce:

My son was an uncle at 8

Yes, I am still pregnant. No, I am not in labor, not even false labor. And by pestering me about it past my tolerance limit, they've all (not CW -- everyone else!!) poked the bear too much. I'm telling everyone IRL I'm turning off my phone now.

:secret: I'm not gonna actually do it though; I need to play WWF. I'm just gonna stop replying to texts and send all their calls directly to VM :snicker:

I was induced on my 40w6d. Had him on day one of 41w!

KG while Pregnant with my first ( 13 days late..) everyday I would go to work and someone would say oh you haven't had that baby yet?? I was like DUH I am here and my belly is still out to there--duh correct I have not had that baby yet!!

Like there is some sort of magic launch code I was supposed to enter into a hidden keypad last week to activate labor. Or like I forgot to mail in the form to get my admission ticket for labor to happen :dunce:

I was telling my doc about this, and he said most of his patients ask to be induced by now. So I guess peeps aren't used to waiting anymore. I just want what's in the best interest of the baby, not what is convenient/comfortable for me. Whether that is waiting until labor happens at 42+ weeks or being induced for medical reasons, I will do just that.

I'm not complaining about being pregnant. I could, but I'm not gonna, because I chose this and it's only temporary. I am complaining about certain people annoying me with their constant texts/emails/calls/remarks. People who didn't contact/text me nearly this often a year ago. Oh and lest anyone feel sorry for them: I warned them not to overdo it. I told them anxiety can delay labor, and told them not to push it. I told them to pretend my due date is 2 weeks away. They got multiple warnings. I'm done now.

If you're looking for things to say to a 10 months pregnant woman, try these:

"You look great!" (a bald-faced lie, but better than "OMG  you have turned into a massive blimp")
"Good to see you."
"Let me know if you need anything."
"Sleep now, because you won't be getting much sleep for a long time!"

Let's see...when my DD19 was born, her uncles were 5 & 12. Now my kids have a "step-uncle" who is younger than DD14. When he is around & he or DD14 are being annoying, I make her call him "uncle." Maybe next year she can freak everyone at hs out by yelling, "Hey Uncle _____!" to him in the hallways when she is a soph. & he is a fresh.

So I got a bug up my **** & painted the room new DD8 is eventually moving in to. It needs one more coat, but since I despise multi-day projects, that room will be done by 3pm tomorrow. I'll post pictures. ;) It's horrifyingly pink. I'm sure she will be internally delighted & externally dismissive of my efforts. :gah:

I just dropped a bunch of stuff off at her new therapists office. (10 minutes away is SO MUCH NICER than 60-90 minutes, let me say!) The kids came with these binders of info that their previous foster mother put together. They are fantastic, we are fortunate to have *so much* info. It's police reports, doctors visits, report cards, etc. Everything you could ever hope to have considering their history. I kept noticing a referral for follow-up care in the binder, but no report from the follow up care, so I figured the follow up never happened. (This would have been immediately after they were taken into protective custody.) Well, I was talking to her therapist, lamenting the fact that this "one piece of the puzzle" is missing and she had me get out the sheet that references it. Would you freaking believe that the referral was to this new therapy office, under a different name...the new therapist HAS the follow up report in their system! :faint: It's the ONE THING that is missing...and she can get it. Their history of care is totally complete now. It's AMAZING. I don't know if it's kismet or fate or flippin' serendipity, but I am goose bumpy about all of this. The kids were taken from OUR Walmart, treated by OUR ER doctor acquaintance, at the same time DH & I first started talking about doing this and initially treated where they are now going again, after moving 60 miles away. We'd better be able to fix this kid. Goodness knows the stars have aligned for her.

KG, have you seen how much snow is going to hit the North-East?
