What's new

snow ****in'

DO NOT send out a posse, ok? As I said earlier, get your supplies NOW. I am going out for gas soon. Here is an update:

'This map shows predicted snow totals for the Nor'easter/Blizzard this weekend in the Northeast. Now this comes from the RPM model from WSI... typically a very good model. As you can see it shows a widespread area of 1-2+ feet of snow. The green is 16+ of snow near NYC and the Yellow is 24+ inches of snow near Boston. AND this is ONLY through Saturday morning... more falls after that; much more near Boston/ Providence/ Eastern LI! The uncertainty is how much mixing there is near the coast in Southeast New England, NYC and Long Island. This forecast may not be far off... Also expect winds to gust near 60 mph especially the further east you go on Long Island and New England. Stay tuned for changes BUT it appears a blizzard is likely on Friday-Saturday.' ---Meteorologist Jeff Berardelli

SON OF A ****!

I got gas just the other day so that's taken care of (I was so glad I filled up my tank right before Sandy.) As for supplies, it's gonna have to wait until tomorrow night.

It's not supposed to start until late night Thursday, right? (like middle of the night)

He went there, weather guy just used the B word. We'll be under a B watch, maybe 3-4" per freaking hour :gah:

He even mentioned that I would probably be in the isolated 30". :hb:

Cookies or chips? Which do I need more? To hell with diets & eating healthy.

Screw it ennui - get the cookies AND the chips.

Local paper just updated their fb status saying we're expecting 10"-18".
Definitely glad I put in for a vacation day Friday.

Local weather **** who had the low end prediction last night now says we should expect about 10". ****.

Just saw this on the AOL page -

Uccellini, who has written two textbooks on northeastern snowstorms, said Wednesday it was too early to tell if the storm would be one for the record books. But he said it will be a rare and major storm, the type that means "you can't let your guard down."

:hah: you guys are going to be attacked by Nemo.

Or was Nemo already used?

According to weather.com this is indeed Winter Storm Nemo.

This image seems appropriate. I wish the shark had taken care of Nemo.

I'm planning a major junk food shop tomorrow morning: frozen pizza, chips, cookies, canola-free oodles of ramen noodles, maybe some genoa or hard salami... and bananas.

I was just about to post to you peeps "don't forget the blizzard bananas!"

Just got our outside lighting for the palm hooked up. :giggles:

Please tell me your sister can get a new Thursday appt. didn't your mom have plans to drive her Friday? Can it wait until Monday?
I think sis will be delaying it. The surgeon's PAs are available 24/7, and sis is now monitoring her oxygen & heart rate with the oximeter bro gave her.

The visiting nurses will check her on Thursday, if they find trouble, I'm sure she be sent off to the hospital.

I've nagged mom to make sure they both have all of the meds they will need for a week or get them Thursday. Also reminded her to charge their cell phones. She shouldn't be on the road at all Fri or Sat.
