Black I am going to have to totally disagree with you. Sony knew it was the long odds from the start. THey released the system late and had to steal ideas from other manufacturers to even create a buzz surrounging their system. The production issues were worked out well in advance of the release, which is why it had already been delayed for two years.

The extremely limtied number of systems is simple economics of supply and demand. They had to screw around with the numbers to justify the outrageous price fo the system. Supply and demand my friend. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss claims that the uber giant conglomerate SOny would ever pull a stunt like this to bolster support whent hey are obviously far behind.

Need I remind you of the root kit installed on all sony bmg discs that has decimated peoples computers?

They're not a nice fluffy company like nintendo and don't care about anything, but the bottom line.

I wouldn't put it past them.
 
Thanks for adding that Slack, this was the point I was trying to get at. They knew if they lessened the amount of PS3's the demand would sky rocket and they would make more sales.

So Sony along with the other manufactures are all at fault. They can all probably make enough systems for everyone that wants them but they choose to make people suffer so they can profit from the added demand.

Simply put they care for their profits and not the customer.
 
I have Super Nintendo and PS One. My games are all kids games like Donkey Kong, Mario series and Kirby to name just a few. PS One I have Harry Potter and something where a kid turns into a donkey - Emperor's something or other. Of course I have more but I am useless when I attempt to play them. They should program them so if a "retard" like me is playing the game for the millionth time and can't get past level one, the game advances automatically. I have yet to see what is on the rest of the game. Boring!!!

I am currently playing a computer game - Luxor - and I can't get past level 8/4. Wish there were cheat sheets but I still wouldn't win. What a Loser!!

They also said you can use the PSP with the PS3, that will be interesting to see. I wonder if it will be a modern version of Dreamcast's VMU?

Aparently PSone is considered the best CD player of all time. If you hook high quality sound cables to it as opposed to the cables it comes with, audiophiles have dubbed it as having "perfect quality".

Give the cables a buy and throw in your favorite concerto... give it a whirl.
 
To be honest, I don't think I will be getting a ps3.

It's mainly because of the price. I rarely use the ps2 for anything other than playing games, and as far as I'm concerned to upgrade seems pointless.

Not to mention that price worldwide is stupidly high...yes I know your paying for what your getting but that is ridiculous!

I will stick to either the xbox360 or the ps2 for now.

Not to mention i beleive when I first read about the ps3 that ps2/ps1 games wouldn't be compatiable...but then has that changed?

if it has then it would be worth the money...not to mention I was told by a friend that the controller looks like a vibrator...which made me laugh...as it does look or the original planned version did...

all in all I wont be buying it.

geez guys it's only a games console...a expensive one...but still

plus poor irish...but then the older game consoles were indeed the legends...

im an old gamer most of the time.
