What's For Dinner?

Well I finally finished off the rest of the Thanksgiving leftovers. Used the mashed potatoes in Shepard's Pie.

Good riddance, turkey & sides. :surrender:

City Chicken:

basically breaded pork and veal cubes on a skewer pan fried...soo good.

I haven't thought of those since 1955...my mom used to call them mock chicken legs and would buy them @ Johnny the butcher's on Broadway in Uptown

made a turkey Shepard's pie, layer of diced turkey on bottom, then leftover green bean casserole, cheddar cheese, then layer of mashed potatoes that you have mixed in 8oz of cheddar cheese, bake for 30-40 minutes.
the rest of the turkey meat is getting diced and put in freezer!

And it tastes even better! I only used 1/2 the salt (doesn't really need any with the ham being in there) and didn't have any dried thyme so I skipped that. The grated onion added plenty of flavor. DH said this one is a keeper fo sho!.
what kind of ham did you use?

Leftovers, most likely. Maybe popcorn too!

DH is meeting some coworkers for drinks after work and when he gets home, I am meeting a GF for a movie so I am not cooking, just reheating leftover pasta for me and the kids. When he gets home, he can eat leftovers or grab something on the way home.
