Wtf is this?

Some sort of game she's been playing non-stop on facebook. Apparently this game is the reason her house is a mess. :pigfly:

riiiiight, the game is the reason she doesn't clean.. Blame it on the game!
:giggles:

Well it's what I'm using as an excuse. ;)

I got DH on Candy Crush and we both sat at the kitchen table in front of our laptops playing it all friggin day.............seriously all day...........did nothing else.

We all went out as a family to see "Escape from Planet Earth" at Studio Movie Grill. Had lunch there as well, then did some shopping in the afternoon at Toys R Us, Target, and Costco.

Note to self: if you want to save money, DO NOT go anywhere with kids and DH ... those 3 are obviously not as budget-minded as you are!

that is why I do not like to go grocery shopping with dh and the kids because half the cart is crap they put in!

This.

If I even take one kid with me, I still end up spending at least $15 more than I would otherwise. "Mom can we get these? Mom I love these.............PLEASE! Mom so and so always has these in his lunch, can we get them?" :surrender:

Here's my new ink I got today!!!

I hope I'm doing this right...

DD had a Junior Girl Scout meeting today and I forgot to iron her badges on (for awhile now - had at least 9 in a ziplock bag...) did not have much time so I took out my flatiron. WOW works better than a regular iron and ironing board, probably because it heats up both sides. Done in a jiffy. Highly recommend.

laugh now ;)

autumnsky can teachers have visible tats?????

What's the meaning of yours?

Well I have a huge foot covering one...of 3 daisies...that shows when I wear sandals, and I wear sandals all the time when it's decently warm... no one has said anything...if teachers can have nose rings....i can have tattoos!

This one won't be too visible...I don't wear my hair up at work very often...and I won't "show it off" to the kids.

My anchor is a lot of things... my gramps was super special to me and he was in the Navy, POW in Korean War....and an anchor is very religious symbolically...and anchors just keep popping up in my life... and it stands for stability...

My 3 daisies on my foot are for my 3 girls...That tattoo is on my Pinterest under a "few of my fave things" (i think)

Dang teachers don't "dress" how mine used to anymore.

My teachers used to wear wool skirt suits, heels and pantyhose everyday. lol

While I'm on this subject, might I say that the way the female teachers at my kids' school dress is inappropriate. The men wear ties. The women (2 out of 3 of them) wear clothes that are way too casual and often too tight (esp. for the chubby one). IMO teachers should look respectable in their position if they want to be respected by the students and not looking like their babysitter or single young auntie.

I COMPLETELY agree with you! I dress professionally all the time. If I wear jeans...they are nice jeans, on a Friday, with either a nice shirt or school spirit shirt. And by sandals...I DO NOT wear flip flops or something like that...sandals that are dressy heels... I HATE they way some teachers dress these days! I always dress as if I'm going to see a parent... However...parents have changed too... They think they can call me by first name! And I always say... Mrs.---- . I don't say this to them... but think...Um, sorry, but I'm not your friend... your child is in my class... and you will address me as Mrs. ---.

Yes, I'm all about professionalism! (tattoos or not) :giggles:

Do you ever watch "what not to wear"? They have had teachers a few times on there!! The one that I best recalled was a middle school teacher (young) that dressed JUST like her students! She blended right in, lol!

I can't believe that starbucks adds $5 to a GC for "registering" it.

Emmalee had a card with $5 something left on it. She downloaded the app and registered the card and now has a $10 something balance.

We are going to find out if you get $5 for EVERY card you register....and if so we will be then seeing if we can buy $5 cards to register and double them :bliss:

I ALWAYS call their teacher by Mr. and Mrs. Lots of other parents use their first names.

When I go in after school to get them I chat with the teachers...........I address DS's teacher as Mr. G###............the next parent comes in and says "Hello Justin." in front of the kids. <thud>

I NEVER EVER thought it appropriate to call a teacher by his/her first name. Never occured to me ONCE!! :faint:

As a matter of a fact...saverjulie was my kids teacher....and I STILL don't call her Julie if I see her in public.

One mom even shortens my first name... Like if my name were Nicole...she calls me "Nic"... It's not btw..

Barb, please let us know about the Starbucks card! I have a BAD sbucks problem lately. DH said, "WTH is sbux (or however they spell it) all over your bank statement?"
No idea, DH. Weird!!! :p Must be aldi? I don't know. :p

Ooooh, you are buds!!!! :faint:
NOOOO! IT DRIVES ME CRAZY. It just seems so disrespectful. I can't believe it. She's older than me...I'm not a young teacher anymore...(38)...

She's not the first. I'm actually friends with a former parent and we both still have a hard time calling each other by first name!
