No Nanny you missed nothing. There was no **** slapping going down just talk about Target and their varying prices on Heinz ketchup.

Thanks for the update, Ann! GREAT news!

Ennui, so sorry that you have another loss in your family. :huggy:

Nanny, that is GREAT news! Congratulations to your DD. :)

Well my day has been full of Little League drama. Get home from a lunch meeting to the bathroom WREAKING of poop. Found DS's underwear hiding spot. At least it's in the bathroom. :gah: Then I went to give the bathroom another once over for the case worker visit & find **** smeared ALL OVER the toilet. :gah:

I can't take it. :surrender:

Made DS clean it up when he got home: Welcome home from school, Lysol wipes are on the toilet lid, you know what to do.

wow just in time--didnt you say your DD was starting Kindergarten in the Fall?? :)

Yep! My 5 year old starts kindergarten in the fall and my 8 year old I will, hopefully, homeschool. I am trying to find out when she needs to be in school legally. If she comes home mid-March does she need to be in school immediately? More calls to be made!
Incidentally, she arrives home on 3/14, which is our niece's 14th birthday, our nephew's 13th birthday and it was our log-in date for DD#1.....funny how those dates match up sometimes! Another weird date: Wenwen's file was made available for adoption the day my Dad died.

Ok - ablation is over. However her heart is now not pumping strong and is only beating at 40 beats per minute. Dr said her heart needs to adjust to the new rate. She has a temp pacemaker line in to increase her cardiac functions. She has to go to. Pediatric intensive care and may be here for a few days. She should be off the table in about an hour or so. Please keep praying for her. I'll keep you all posted.

How nice of DGS's coach to tell the team @ 2:45PM that they need to be @ school @ 7AM tomorrow for the season-end party...had to text his mom that he'd have to stay here tonight unless she wanted to take him herself (school is 23 miles from her place and she works 30 miles the other way)...plus he's supposed to turn in his laundered uniform & practice jersey...looks like I have a date with the washer/dryer tonight...

Aww ennui I'm so sorry. :huggy: I haven't been around much lately-how is your sister?
Thank you.

Sis is hanging in, she's on oxygen therapy most of the time now. They still don't know what is causing the low O levels.

Hoping the second type of hormone meds work better against the cancer than the first type did.

She'll be going into back Boston tomorrow to get drained, I'm praying she'll feel somewhat more comfortable after that.

I swear there's a black cloud out there today. We lost our electricity tonight, thank goodness it was just 2 hours. Wasn't too happy with NSTAR's original promise of power back on by midnight. :faint:

Back from WIU what a pita drive lastnight. We go into a pub for dinner after walking around campus in the pouring rain and come out 45 minutes later and there is almost an inch of snow. Apparently they don't plow or drop salt out there in God's country so it was a very slow white knuckle drive. On the upside, out of the 5 percussionists that auditioned my dd was the only one who had the professors walk her out to meet us. They told us she is admitted and her $$ scholarship will be in the mail by mid March. Her piano audition went just as well, but we didn't get any feedback. They did take an extensive history on her experience and made her sight read several pieces. She said they seemed very pleased. I loved the campus and am getting over the distance. They have awesome transportation and Amtrack and bus to Chicago is $20 and like 3 hour ride. I can live with it.

Did I miss anything here?

Nanny, I went to WIU. There are a lot of pros about the campus. I took Amtrak a lot while I was there. I would drag my big bag of laundry home on the train!

Congrats to your daughter for making such a great impression.

Thanks. DD really loved it there. She is just relieved that she will get to be a performance major. She even spoke with the Jazz Studies professor and he told her she could switch to Jazz half way through her freshmen year because she wasn't ready for Jazz audition. She was excited to come to school today to tell her friends in band. They already knew! Apparently word travels fast in the percussion circles. Amtrack is great for $20 or bus for $25...and hell no, she had better not lug her laundry home for me to wash.
