My kids were SOOOOOOOooooooooooooo upset that they were too big for them. Cool idea though.
Bring some Lysol to disinfect those things and a tinfoil cap for the child--I bet those TV's stream subliminal advertisements into children's heads...then again so does Dora and I let DS watch her evil minions.I just figured out that the ones at the Dom's in CL are free!! I'm apparently a little slow to catch on. The kids always ask for one and I always say no because I don't want to pay. Now I know and will definitely be using them. I find them most helpful at checkout when I'm doing 2-4 orders at self check. My 3 year old isn't as eager to "help" me if she has a show to watch.
My first thought...."wow, that is sooo cool!"
My second thought.."one more way to "spoil" and overindulge a generation that is not learning how to wait for anything without being entertained."
Yeah, like that statement won't make you a target, rofl.
I fear for the things our children don't have to learn...like patience, and entertaining themselves, etc..
As much as I hate to sit my kids in front of a tv, I'd totally use these. They don't get to watch much tv so this would be a treat for them and me. Right now I have to get a bag of popcorn to make it through Target and that trick doesn't seem like it will last much longer.

If I spent a 'normal' amount of time in grocery stores it wouldn't be that big a deal for me to say yeah the kids should be patient, but with the amount I'm there and the amount my youngest can talk if she is BORED I really wish she could fit in that cart (and that there were carts like that closer to my home)

Yeah mines 9 with ADHD, but too big to be in the cart.
We don't have the DVD player in the car, unless the trip is over 4 hours, then we might hook up a laptop for them. Typically they read or do mad libs in the car.
And my kids are only allowed limited TV / Computer/ DS time each day, typically maxed at 2 hours total.
And they don't bring the DS to social situations, it's for at home and in the car. There is a family at our old Church with teenagers that play their DS through every Church service - drives me NUTZ!
A place to debate everything and anything!
