I know you may not believe/listen to any suggestions from me but being uninsured myself so do want to be helpful, it sucks. Basic BP meds are VERY CHEAP. I'm on an ace inihibitor/diuretic = lisinopril/HTCZ that comes in a combined pill for $10 90 day supply from target/walmart/Jewel match and possibly tie into a giftcard deal. If you have seen a doctor in the last year or two call in and see if they can do a prescription without coming in. They can if needed add a beta blocker or calcium channel blocker there are generics of both that are on the $4 30 day/$10 90 day target/walmart lists.
BP monitors are pretty reasonable given you will use them for a long time. But many Jewels and other places have automated free machines though ask the pharmacist if they are calibrated often.
Although going from low upwards may be something, you saw triple over triple, normal the 1st number is a lowish triple/bottom triple not wonderful/good but I'll admit I've seen it
