If you had your choice between these two quarterbacks on your favorite team, which would you choose?

It's pretty common thinking that Luck is more prepared for the NFL game and probably the more prototypical QB in a traditional sense. However, RG3 has the electric athletic ability combined with what appears to be great leadership.

I think Luck is the safer pick but RG3 could very well have a slightly higher upside. Dude could come in and ball like Cam Newton thus year. What do all of you think? Luck or RG3?

I'd take Luck, he seems to be the safer bet and I think it is safe to say he will deliver the consistency required, every week.

I guess RG3 might bring something different and a spark that excites, but I can't see consistency and him being "Mr. Safe"

Safety first as they say and Luck has it in spades. RG3 is a superb athlete but I have to agree with the sports car enthusiast above in that he remains unproven in terms of consistency which is what counts at an elite level.

I agree with the consensus. Luck seems to be the safer pick of the two, but Griffin just has that "it" factor about him that really reminds you if that Cam Newton aura from last year.

I don't know who I'd pick, but I'm glad I'm not in the position to have to make the choice.

I still choose Luck, who I think will be an incredible QB. Griffin has incredible tools and I think he will be very good as well, but Luck is just more proven and safer. You just can't afford to draft a bust with #1 I think.

I'd take luck. I feel like he is a very consistent pocket passing QB and thats something that is definitely needed in the NFL for all teams.

I'd take Luck. Pocket passing quarterbacks are a good thing, and he would also be the safer pick. RG3 may be the better athlete and maybe even the better guy, but I can't choose him knowing if he takes off running, he would be prone to injury.

If put in the shoes of a GM I think I would take the safer bet with Andrew Luck as well but I can't help but feel RG3 is going to make the Colts regret passing him up. This is a great example of why general managers get paid the way they do; these draft decisions can be tough! When it's all said and done I believe both of these quarterbacks are going to be fantastic NFL players.

On a similar topic, does anyone have a sleeper quarterback in mind once these two players are off the board? I think Ryan Tannehill is going to be a steal for whoever drafts him. Also, Brandon Weeden from Oklahoma State interests me. He's a bit older than most rookies (I believe he is 28) but seems to have the skills to succeed in the NFL.

As a Browns fan I'd much rather have Luck. Hoping for an Eli Manning, John Elway senerio where Luck refuses to play for the colts and wants to come to Cleveland!

Luck based simply on the fact that he is more reliable. I would much rather have RG3, and see RG3 play, but in the long run, Luck is safer.

Luck is considered one of the best prospects in the last decade. he is a can't miss player. I can't vote against him. I think RGIII will still be a good qb but luck is on another level.

Apparently RGIII is only 6'0 and not the 6'2 that he is listed. Some NFL teams have huge issues with short QBs.

RGIII is mobile enough that his height shouldn't be that much of an issue, but the bigger problem for me is durability. Luck has a huge frame, decent athletic ability, a great arm, and extremely high football IQ.

It's hard to really say that there is ANY recent QB prospect I'd take over Luck. RGIII may well be a good quarterback, but there isn't really anything you would change about Luck even if you could.

Luck by a lot. He has great mechanics for the pro level. He also has a good frame and height. He is a prototypical quarterback and reminds many of Peyton Manning. RG3 is in for a rude awakening when he gets to the NFL. He will most likely entertain a 3rd string spot for awhile ala Travaris Jackson then he may get a chance in the League.

There just isn't much of a chance for guys with a relative below average height and great speed at the quarterback position. Mike Vick has been one of the only ones to make it. He is lightning quick and athletic though, with a cannon.

RGIII is much closer to Vick than he is Jackson. Jackson was never accurate at any level, was a great athlete put never a good pocket passer.

RGIII is really a Vick clone. Very good runner, solid passer, big arm. He'll be fine, but Luck will be great.

True, I wonder if teams will be a little more open minded about this issue since Brees has had such success. Also, I know Vick had a disappointing season but he is around 6 feet tall as well and destroyed the competition in 2010. I say if the talent is there you take a chance on a guy even if he is on the short side.

Interesting article about how 14 of 15 NFL scouts prefer RG3. Basically they all agree it's like splitting hairs picking between the two, but RG3's athleticism is something they couldn't pass up.

The more I read about this guy the more amped I get about him. Can't wait to see where he lands on draft day.

The title is:

14 of 15 NFL scouts prefer Luck to Griffin III

You sure you read it correctly? ;)
