Working On A Forum,

I am going to start work on a forum/website tommorow, It is going to Gaming and maybe a bit of tech,



I am looking to spend about 45 euro at max, I am looking at using MYBB or Phpbb on hawkhosting or buying a hosting package community from IP.Board for 5 or 10 dollars a month.



Any tips? I hear that there is a security bug in phpbb at the moment.

I definitly suggest phpBB. I've used it in the past and it's very good.

I would use zetaboards but out of those I would go with PhpBB.

Are you decent with html? or atleast installing mods? Questions that should be asked first..

If I were you, I'd go for PhpBB. But, make sure you install anti spam Mods as PhpBB forums get a lot of spam if you do not take action to prevent that from happening. If you are looking for a paid software, I would go for Woltlab Burning Board as it is priced at about 40 Euros I believe ( http://woltlab.com ).

PhpBB3 is sufficient if you want something free. If you have more cash to spend on a paid software go with xF or IPB.
