Who enjoys collecting sports trading cards

I remember collecting sports cards. I used to collect lots of different cards when I was younger, maybe 8 or 9 years old. I was never a big fan of sports back then, but I still owned a lot of cards. I also used to collect Yugioh and Pokemon cards. All the kids at my age collected Yugioh cards. We would battle against each other and sometimes place bets on who would win. That was a fun part of my childhood; I still own all my cards too!

I filled 4 albums of Panini soccer stickers back in the day - good times. Swapping in the school yards or playing the game where you try to get the card nearest to the wall.

I used to collect and trade sports cards up until the 90s. I collected them all including hockey, basketball, and football. I stopped around that time because it was getting to be an expensive hobby, and the more valuable cards were the really old ones so I couldn't really call my cards an investment anymore. :)

I used to collect a lot of them, I still have a few. My favorite is an Andre Miller jersey card that is also signed. I grew up watching him and remember being overjoyed when opening it.

I used to collect them all. Unfortunately, I collected them at the wrong time as they were mass produced and rookie cards of even great players are worthless today.

We had something with sports cards when I was younger, we were playing a game when you have to flip them and stuff and win each others cards, and we had some kind of notebook that if you fill all the players you win cash or something.

When I started out collecting cards there was only card company that made them and it was Topps. Now that there is a whole lot of them there is a big flood of cards out there. To me I wish that there was only still one company making cards, but I did have one of the most interesting trading card collections out there. Even though it was made up of mostly local teams.

I think 3 would be the perfect amount, for variety.

Topps, UpperDeck, and Panini

Collecting sports trading cards is one thing that I never got into. I know that for some people, it is a big thing. I know that some are worth some money. My husband and kids never collected them either.

I never got into collecting sports cards either. Maybe it's because by the time I got into sports, sports card collecting was becoming a thing of the past. I remembering collecting Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh cards though (stop judging me :p). I don't have the time or money to invest in a collection now either, though the cards of a few of my favorite players are enticing.

It is fun to do if you are in it for the fun of it. But once you take it as for investment then it can become dull. For me it was for the fun of it and it was also a big deal also. I loved going to card show when I had a chance. I had a great time collecting them. But now since I need some funds I am looking at selling those cards off. I know that some of them are worth some money, especially some of the older cards that I have.

I love collecting baseball cards. I collect mainly Yankees because I am a huge fan of them. My collection ranges from very old vintage Yankees, to the modern cards with the autograph and relic. Baseball card collecting is a great hobby.

I have boxes saved for my son. I started saving when I was a teenager.

Anyone remember how awesome this card was
