Where I can find plastic trays?

You know like the ones at McDonalds or cafeteria trays?

We are having a science party for DS #4 and I think we need the trays and then I plan to give it to the kid for a party favor (unless they are outrageously expensive). This is kid #4 and I'm kind of over the goody bags.

Try Schweppe and Sons on North Avenue. They might have them
If not--cheap plastic ones (not the thick ones like Mc) you can get at a dollar store--or a plastic try at Target--but those are more like platters than trays

Look on Edward Don's sight
They are a restaurant supplier--I am not sure how much they were--but they were on the sight under tray flat 14 x 18 plastic

Then once you have the name--you can do a google search to see if anyone has it cheaper

I was thinking the same thing

I mean, depending on how many you need, I know if you came to mine I would give them to you. we have people ask all the time for nugget boxes, etc, for art projects.
 
That's a good idea! I am over goodie bags, too. How old is your DS and can you share a little more about what you're doing at the party?
 
Ds will be nine. He wanted to do something at home, but it's a tough one since now kids that age expect to be entertained by an event or going somewhere. So I googled around and found this!

We are only having 5 guests and my 3 other sons and hubby are required to be there as helpers. It's only a 2 hour gig and I am picking some of the easier stuff to do. I am buying the lab coats and goggles and trays, so it's not super cheap, but it could be. Since he's #4, he's gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to parties, so I'm ok with spending some money on this one. It's still cheaper than going somewhere!
 
there are lots of science geek type cookies out there--JUST last week i cleared a bunch of images off my desktop or i would have posted them

Science Surplus store is a good outlet for some fun ideas too

I know we went to a home science party when Kristine was 8---it was a lot of fun--they made gak--and lots of other things--they had someone do it though-not on their own
Has your school had Mr. Lee the science guy come? You could do some of his ideas--he does the tin pan with the rabbit skin--the kids love that one--and the gak--they LOVE LOVE LOVE that---(Mr. Lee lives in your town--so he is close by!!)
 
Holy moley! Monogrammed jackets? I'm just buying some disposable ones! Remember this is kid number 4, so while it's cute, I only have about 10 days until the party and I'm taking the easy way out! He'll have fun whether the jackets are disposable or monogrammed.

He really just wanted to have a big playdate, but he's inviting 2 girls who can be prissy, so I think this works better.
