When did you last buy your computer?

The last time I bought a computer was ..never!

The computer I have right now was my bought by my mum a decade ago for my older brother, then it become a family computer and finally I got it in the end.

For a computer we've had for over 10 years, it is in excellent condition.

My mum bought the computer about a millennium ago...but it is still in good condition so i'll be fine

I bought it in 2011 and it still works! In fact, it works perfectly well, but not to jinx me. However, I don't think it will forever, so I have to make plans for another one.

Our desktop that is running on Windows XP is still up to par with its service since we use it for basic operations only like for the internet and word processing. We bought it in September 2009. It broke down once, sometime in 2014 due to busted power supply. And in the last 2 years, it experienced a broken system disk twice. But we were able to fix the problem. I agree that it's pretty old so we bought a new laptop last year just for backup purposes. But the desktop is still our main computer for now.

The last time I bought a prebuilt computer was in 2015. It was not the greatest and I later started to get into PC gaming so I upgraded in late 2016. That time, I built the computer, as it gives you much better bang for your buck if you want a high-end system, and I actually thought the process was quite fun. It's essentially adult legos and it's really not to difficult so I'd encourage anyone who's interested in learning a little more about PC hardware to build their next computer. I honestly think it's something you could do with your kids if you want to allow them to learn a little more hands-on stuff about technology.

I also have a laptop that I use for most of my work stuff/light gaming.

I bought my current computer in 2010, I think. Still works just fine, I haven't had anything fail. I'm thinking of building a new gaming pc, but the insane RAM and graphics card prices are putting me off. I hope the prices will start going down in the near future, but I can't say I'm optimistic.
