What color is your laundry room?

I am going to try to attach some pics. My laundry room is super bright green with matching bright green cabinets I got at IKEA. I used to have drab white and I can't even describe how much happier I am walking in that room now. Even when it's messy - like now - I enjoy being in there.

I'd be happy walking in their too! Love your washer and dryer! I've been wanting a front load but we could never afford new ones right now. Ours are so old, pretty sure they are original with the townhome. They pretty much wash and dry, not many options. I'm hoping maybe for a really good black Friday deal!

How are your ikea cabinets? Do they hold up well, I was looking online and they seem pretty affordable but DH is always convinced anything that comes from Ikea will break or fall apart.

Builder beige with white trim and white cabinets/wire shelving. Kind of boring. Well except for the blue washer dryer and the dog/cat fur accents.

Here's the blue I'm referring to.

This is SUCH a first world question/ problem..............just sayin'.

I repainted my laundry room a very light greenish gray about a week ago. On one wall, i painted a black magnetic/blackboard (5 ft X 8ft) to display the kids project.

What color would be studs & concrete???

DH "dismantled" my laundry room, walk in pantry & powder room downstairs last May:faint:

Love the bathroom sign.... Wish I was a crafty kind of girl

I agree with your DH with some IKEA stuff. I would never do a kitchen in IKEA. These cabinets are actually kids room storage. The upper cabinets are super sturdy and have decent shelves inside and the doors are the self closing - soft closing. The lower cabinets are also IKEA and have the plastic bins. Each kid has their own bins for shoes and hats/gloves and their own coat hooks above. In a perfect world anyway. Today its being used for laundry that needs to go back downstairs.

we remodeled our laundry room a couple years ago

the colors are bright white and a lighter shade of tiffany blue. REALLY love it

the cabinets are these fancy schmancy custom cabinets that someone donated to the RE-Store (in Elgin). I HIGHLY recommend going there if you ever have the time or are in need. everything is donated and benefits habitat for humanity, so you never know what will be there

the set i purchased came from a high-rise condo on lake shore drive downtown. absolutely nothing wrong with them, they just "wanted a change". (must be nice)

anywho, i paid $500 for a massive (prolly 25) different custom cabinets that completed our laundry room and garage. and then some leftover...

the cabinets are birdseye maple, so very light in color

i LOVE the laundry room. beats the drab dirty white and awful dark brown wood that was there orignially. ill try to post some pics. i used to have some on my computer but i think i deleted them :(

and, i really recommend the color combo. mostly white but the light green/blue is a great combo. hope that helps

I have seen Elles laundry room it is gorgeous. She has a talent for decorating and for matching colors. If you need advice, I would ask her, she has an awesome talent for art. (Ok spoiler--she has also done artwork--and it is gorgeous!!)

My "laundry room" is a closet. Two of those sliding/panel doors that open to the sides. It's boring, but no one ever sees it because it's in a closet. If I had a first or second floor mudroom type laundry room, I'd be all over those Pinterest laundry room ideas! They're so cute!

wouldnt ya know, the pic i have shows the cabinets wall and not the wall with the paint color. you can see a bit of it on the door, but its not really a true representation. it really is a brighter, clearer color. in this pix it looks more gray, and its not.

im too tired (really really backbreaking yardwork all day-tired) to take another pic now. so tired i never made it to carsons for the $50/100 coupon sale :(

but, OP, if you have any interest in seeing the color combo, PM me and ill try to take a pic of it to send you.

Mine is tan. I want DH to take down the cabinet that is in there and paint it another color, but don't know what...

I know quite a few people who have done Ikea cabinets and they have held up really well after 5+ years without having to be gentle on them. I would definitely go the Ikea route if I remodel another kitchen. My kitchen cabinets were almost $15k. I could've done Ikea for under $10k.

Was white when we moved in 9 years ago. Painted it yellow - HATED IT! Painted it Geranium Red - LOVE IT ! ! ! ! ! !

Love the Cabinets and high ceilings. Looks very nice. Sure is neat. I just made my DD5 arrange the shoes in the laundry room and told her its her new job since she did a great job.
