Good Morning everyone....

Okay, I know we don't get the snow or nearly as cold as other areas....

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF PETE!!!!!! We have got to get these kids back in school, out again today, four snow days in a row..... for what???????????????? We have no snow... All I can say is there had better be a heck of a mess up on the mountain. School is already scheduled to be out on Friday for professional development. Today was supposed to be the last day of the grading period... which means now report cards are going to be late coming out. So at this point if we get them back to school tomorrow... that will be one day of school this week. Not to mention Monday is a holiday....

I have an appointment to get my haircut today... thank goodness, it is out of control.

Good afternoon...

Well for a day that started out not good at all (how can it when you have a colonoscopy at 7AM) it turned out fairly well. My gastro said I was fine, and put me from the high risk category to the low risk so I don't have to have another one for 10 years. I was in the high risk because of my maternal grandmother.

Kelly, I hear you on the 'get them back in school NOW".

Dh is over muttering over medicines...apparently they have JUMPED sky high. I don't know if anyone else uses Medco but watch out. Co-pay's have gone thru the roof. Esp for those of us in retirement. Example, my lipitor use to have a co-pay of $50.00 for a 90 day supply, now it's $252.72. THE CO-PAY!!! Not the cost of it. So I will be exploring other ones even tho none others worked as well.

HIS co-pays, not his total meds, are going to run over $1000. How in the HE double HOCKEY STICKS are we gonna afford these.

Checking in....had a good quick day at mom's today. Got there around 10 (dh accompanied me so we could deChristmas mom's house) and left at 3 pm. lol Mom was glad to see us and sorry to see us go, but we wanted to run several errands and then stop for dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse (thanks to gc from Christmas). Got home about an hour and a half ago.

I'm beat now and just relaxing the rest of the night.

Kelly, I pity you having to deal with kids having snow days (despite hardly any snow). speaking of, I think we're dodging another bullet thanks to warmer temps and possibly the storm system heading directly east and not northeast. Thank goodness!

Liz, OMG! Good luck with the medicine issues. We just joined Medco. Dh's insurance forced us. Everything is going up.

Carol, I had a brain fart...we use CVS/Caremark now not Medco. We USED Medco which accounts for the slip up. But I suspect Medco is doing the same thing. Our medicine cost dropped when we first moved from Medco to CVS/Caremark. What you can do is go in to Medco and find all your meds and find what it will cost you in 2010 prices. That's how we found out about the price increase.

Carol, Glad you had a good visit with your mom. I'm sure she wishes you were able to stay longer with each visit, but I'm sure she also understands that you need to be home as well.

Liz, The med prices are crazy... I don't know what we would do if we had to pay that kind of money out every month.
