... WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

* TIMING... MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... 4 TO 10 INCHES.
* WINDS... NORTH WINDS WILL INCREASE ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON TO 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH.
* VISIBILITIES... FREQUENTLY REDUCED TO LESS THAN A MILE IN HEAVY SNOW.

Who in their right mind does not understand there is a HUGE difference in 4 and 10 inches?!?!?!!!!!!!!!

Please understand this is NOT a rip on toger... it is becoming all too commonplace to see this spread from weather persons.

Consider it a rip on the weather folks...storm has been delayed...in fact, after a dusting this morning, the sun is out...supposed to stay that way 'til 5 or so...then who knows...DGS1 school in Clarence has already posted a 2 hour delay for tomorrow...once it's posted, they can't take it back, even if it turned out to be 65 degrees and dry tomorrow...

Is it safe to say we may have a snow day tomorrow when the snowquester hits?

Leaving now for the store for the blizzard naners. :)

Which is why my dh always says it is up in the air!!
He did say it depends on where you are on the fault line etc--they are saying around here 4 10 inches---
He was giving me details of the areas etc--I toned him out--figure we will know when we know.
My dd is surprised that people are already cancelling school.
I will have to ask him what he thinks for tomorrow. My sons friend said his teacher told him there might not be school. I laughed and said--hmm we only don't have school if the busses can;t get through--and since it will be falling while you are in school-I am not counting on it. I spoke to my sisters MIL--she works in Bolingbrook as a reading specialist--she says they will cancel if they get 6 inches because the buses can not get through---and they have a lot of buses. I said, we don't cancel here for 6 inches--at least we did not last time
Again--UP IN THE AIR___maybe that should be my tag line!!!

I bought bananas at Ultra today--does that mean we will get the snow?
I laughed because there were a lot of people around the bananas. Couldn't have anything to do that they are 3 pounds for 1.00 could it?

32 degrees & partly sunny here...now they say start time is 11PM...still under a warning...DS has asked me to watch his little ones tomorrow if need be, so he doesn't have to tote them into the QCA...

I just watched the news. I am in NW burbs. They are saying snow will start around 3 a.m. and continue all afternoon, evening and overnight into Wednesday. Up to 10 inches of very heavy, back-breaking snow but it will be awesome packing snow for snowball fights and building forts. My kids want a snow day sooooo badly LOL.
