I hate it when some people assume that people who never had a great career "didn't do anything with their lives."

There's more to "doing something" with your life besides a career. Some people had just average jobs but did something with their lives in other ways, such as raising a family, enjoying hobbies, traveling, and more.

It all depends on what makes you happy and your goals and did you achieve them. Being a full time parent can be a career with a lot less pay but great benefits and rewards

I would never say someone who has raised a family "didn't do anything with their lives"
It takes a lot of work and I agree with @MichaelAllen, that you should be happy.
Be productive and positive and sometimes everything will fall into place.

if you keep listening to what people say and do what people say, i'd like to suggest you to kill your self . because no matter what you do, there is always a group of people will not like what have you done.

enjoy life, ignore stupid opinion that try to crush your dreams.

My uncle went far with his career. However, the problem was that part of the reason he was so "successful" was because he was a workaholic.

I wouldn't call that being successful. Their's more to life than work, work, work.

Just because someone didn't have a career where they made millions of dollars...that doesn't make that person an absolute failure. Like the people have mentioned before me, some people are pleased with raising a family or traveling or doing something else with their time.

In many cases, I would agree with the OP's statement. I mean, you can't judge a book by its cover. For instance, a doctor takes pride in his job and status, but a person going back and forth between fast food and janitor jobs doesn't. They simply pay the bills and put stuff into savings. However, though, the transient people could be living fulfilling lives.

Yeah, I totally agree here. You shouldn't judge people, in a lot of cases. However, this is a side spin-off of the "motivational movement" or whatever. you call it. Myself, instead of a lot of expensive homes, I'd rather have more food, honestly and with this inflation that's going to be a top priority soon.
