That depressing moment when you realize you haven't been hardly anywhere

You're telling me. I've been to a bunch of different states, but usually I was just passing through. I would like to be able to spend more time in all the places I've "visited"

You know what? Your thread caught my emotions.

I get those moments when I really feel as if my life has been very boring; that I haven't really been anywhere, literally speaking.

I was just living a very confined life; since I was born. Not that I am complaining. because i grew up in a happy family ambiance. But travel-wise... I've been only around the perimeter of where we have lived, and where we live now.

Your thread awakened a desire in me to explore a little farther! While I still can!
 
I would love to travel more if I get the opportunity. My husband has been to so many amazing places, my travels seem paltry in comparison....
 
Prices for travelling, accommodation and rent-a-car are tumbling in Europe. You can cross the continent courtesy of Ryanair for basement prices. Give the kids to granny and spend a few days in Rome. :)
 
Kids haha, I'm 22. Having said that I better get out there before I do settle down. :nuts:

The European Union really is a good thing, I should take advantage of the unrestricted travel.
 
Travel I simply must!!!!! Here is why!!

I am on my second marriage. I just had a son, the new love of my life! I still travel a lot!

I want my son to experience other cultures. We are always on the go. We do sacrifice! We live in a townhome. No large house or dream kitchen for us! My husband works long hours.

We are always searching for travel deals! We would not give it up for anything! It is better to collect experiences than things!!
 
I'm 24 and I've been around a little... I'm from Romania and I've been in Greece (twice), Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Germany and France. I would like to keep travelling but in this economy it's hard for me to do so.
 
it is hard in this economy!!! The price of fuel for planes had made travel much more expensive!! My family and I save money by keeping in touch with distant friends and family members! We offer our place in near Manhattan to them also!!
 
You have been way more places than I have. I've never lived more than 30 miles outside of Chicago and for the few places I have visited (basically just St. Louis and a couple of spots in Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan) the time I've stayed ranges anywhere from 2 hours to a week.
