10. God was worried that Adam would frequently become lost in the garden because he would not ask for directions.

9. God knew that one day Adam would require someone to locate and hand him the remote.

8. God knew Adam would never go out and buy himself a new fig leaf when his wore out and would therefore need Eve to buy one for him.

7. God knew Adam would never be able to make a doctor's dentist's or haircut appointment by himself.

6. God knew Adam would never remember which night to put the garbage on the curb.

5. God knew if the world was to be populated, men would never be able to handle the pain and discomfort of childbearing.

4. As the Keeper of the Garden, Adam would never remember where he left his tools.

3. Apparently, Adam needed someone to blame his troubles on when God caught him hiding in the garden.

2. As the Bible says, "It is not good for man to be alone."

And, finally, the Number 1 reason why God created Eve....
1. When God finished the creation of Adam, He stepped back, scratched his head, and said, "I can do better than that!"

Funny, keep em coming we need threads like this that make us all laugh.

#9 is GREAT!! MrD would absolutely put himself into coronary arrest to think that the remote was missing!! Sometimes he falls asleep with it in his hand so tightly no one could wrangle it from him! I can't understand what the connectionis between and man and a remote - it's not just MrD - my Mom has the same thing with my Dad as do many of my friends. MrD says it's the only "control" he has left in his life - blah, blah, blah! :eusa_ange

My cat is constantly lying on my remote. Usually when I can't find it in my bed, I lift up the sleeping cat and there it is! Sometimes when he is lying on it, the channels start changing. What a nuisance.

That's actually pretty funny! I should do that with MrD and Katrina - he'd never suspect her! :p

Lord Dufferin is so fat that occasionally he would just sit on the remote and suddenly we are watching another program. Lady Abbey sits at the end of the bed and watches the TV as he flips through the channels. It is rather funny. I have programs on birds, fish, and monkeys just for them. It is the only nature they see as they are not allowed out. ( not that they want to go out in this concrete jungle!)

I have the "Animal Plant" channel that goes on for Katrina during the day. I LOVE to know what goes through her mind @ 3pm - "Idiot humans. Don't they KNOW I don't care?"

I have pictures of my two babies watching TV. It is so funny. I won't let them watch when the "big" cats go on a kill. I turn the channel. I guess for my sake. I don't want to see it. I would rather not view the kill.

I think it is funny when Abbey tries to catch what is on the screen. Dufferin looks at her like she is nuts!

Katrina does that (tries to catch the screen) when she sits on my lap at the computer. TOO funny!

It pains me when I can't find the remote, when I am tired I want to stay in my bed or on the couch. I don't want to leave my comfort zone.

I clearly remember when there WERE no remote controls! We hd to get up, walk to the TV and turn the channel - unheard of these days!

Yes, but TRUE! If the channel didn't come in clearly enought then you had to fiddle with the antenna thingy on top of the TV and do something to the box they sat on. We didn't think anything of it because it was the way it was!

Lame, just lame. I guess I take Remotes and Digital Cable for granted.

And we only had 2 channels. Half of the time we sat and watched an Indian head waiting for the channel to come on because it only ran for what - 12 hours a day?

Very old, old school, Chris.I remember when the telephone numbers were only 3 digits long. My first phone was 336. That was all you needed to dial (rotary dial too!)

Yea thats cool. Here I remember when we were able to dial a phone number without an area code. Now you got to dial 1-718 then the number.

I liked just dialing the 7 digits. Now you have to make sure you have the right one of four area codes or else you end up with a recording telling you that you dialed wrong or if you get the wrong one and right number it's someone else. It's stupid.
