So...have you ever made a bet? If yes, what was your biggest win/loss?
Mine was 4 years ago, when I betted on Spain against Portugal (soccer) during the World Cup and I won 90 bucks.
Recently I don't bet a lot since I had a bad period (lost like 50 which is too much for me). What do you bet for? Baseball? Basketball? Or do you combine?

I have bet on jai alai, and the most i won was $500, over the course of 10 matches.
 
I lost $50 when Vitor Belfort got decapitated by Anderson Silva. I lost $100 when Manny Gamburian's shoulder fell off against Nate Diaz. As a matter of fact I'm not sure I've ever won a sports bet.
 
Lost a fortune, won a lot... I cannot keep tabs on the ratio, I think I am just about up.

The best win I had was probably when Bolton beat Arsenal last season the odds where 7/2 and I put the equivalent of $150 on it.
 
I feel that if I give any sport (esp fighting) pick any betters out there should go against me if you would like to make some money. I think I'm at about 20% accuracy when it comes to picking winners haha.
 
I only really bet on horse racing, especially the big races. My biggest win was about 4 years ago when I won £84 - I was so excited :) I do most of my betting online, but occasionally go into the bookies.
 
I have never made a legit money bet over anything in life. It is strictly against my religion. I find it rather dumb to bet over things such as sports. It's usually luck anyways.
 
I don't bet myself but find it amazing when people are willing to bet hundreds or thousands of dollars on their favorite teams or sports person. To me that appears insane but I guess some people are addicted to betting or making a quick buck.
 
Hmmm... Well, I've made numerous 20 dollar bets. The easiest one was when a guy I used to work with was a Raider fan. He would bet me 20 bucks every single week that they'd win. This was when they were winning just a couple games each year. Lets say my teen years were funded well by this guy...
 
I know some people who like to bet on sports, I've never done it. I don't belive in bets in gambling, and I think it takes away the charm of a game.

Actually it doesn't! You should try it once. Pick the most boring match and bet on it. Normally, you wouldn't even care who wins that match, but after you bet on it, you will be excited the whole time. This is the case with me, at least.
 
My boyfriend likes to bet and I'm not against it, I've seen him loose a lot of money and I think it's addictive. I'll ask him to let me bet just once, then I'll let you how it went.
 
Betting definitelly makes watching a game sweeter :P , but my general outcome from a looot of years of betting is about neutral. I have made as much as I have lost, give or take, more to the lost side. But its fun. Its like going to watch a movie in the cinema or betting on your favorite team
 
Never bet money but have bet to work a shift at work last season if the 49ers went to the Superbowl. I gladly won that bet but had me scared there for a few...
 
If you're betting as a job or a way to make money consistently than more power to you. It seems like an easy way to bankrupt yourself. But if you place an occasional bet for fun or to intensify a match it can be a great time. Sports are already fun to watch but even more so when you have money to win.
 
So I've made my bet, 5 bucks. I lost. I once again proved to myself that I have to stay strong in my beliefs.
