Some changes might be coming along....

If we know even a little bit of information about the people doing it, I can dig deeper and see about making their lives a little less enjoyable.

I vote you let a s b get em! :snicker: They've had plenty of nice requests. Time for the gloves to come off. It is wrong to disregard the cordial requests made here. Courtesy people!

I don't know about these sorts of things, but I love this site. I like the fact that people who don't post get flushed. People stealing the info here so they can profit is an outrage. There has to be a way to keep these people off. I don't really know what to say, but I hope you get these leeches!

I'll play devil's advocate: This is a public forum (or semi-private), the information is provided out of the goodness of the posters' hearts. The information is not proprietary. If people are willing to spend money to obtain this information, then there are going to be people who will capitalize on it.

I do think the administrators should gain for the immense amount of work they do (thanks so much!!) and these others that are "stealing" are being rude. If people are making money from this site, then they might want to give back. Maybe a Paypal "Donate" button would have some success in collecting some income to cover expenses.

If you want it to stop, then the perpetrators need to be made public. I'm not certain banning would work even if you banned their IP addresses--there are ways around those.

I was thinking that people are paying for info that is found online for free. There is an abundent amount of info on CW. People give so freely of scenarios, locations, coupons, etc and to see people take the info and sell it to others is wrong.

I don't think people are paying for this info per se, but I think the blogger makes $$ of the advertising, ect on their blog. At least this is how I'm reading it...could be totally wrong though!

Although it's possible that a site like Grocery Game or Savings Angel is using it. If that's the case, they probably are making a pretty decent profit off it. Those kind of sites have to get their info from somewhere. It's basically just charging for the same kind of information people could get elsewhere for free.

remember the time when we worked united to flush out suspicious registrants? It was a collaborative effort to keep out unwanted moles.

if we can do it then, I know we can do it again with cooperation of a lot of people who like it here.

so why not just call them out? they can either accept that they are wrong OR play dumb telling you "whatcha talkin about?"

aren't you glad to be boss and have the freedom to just flush them out? good riddance!!!

True....didn't think of that.

Any blogger, or fee based site, making money from advertising or other activities based on work freely given on this site for our members is flat out wrong.
Then all the larger blogs are in the wrong. I'd guess at least half of the info on blogs originates on SD or other forums.
