Smart lightbulbs

Do you make use of any smart lighting in your house with smart light bulbs? I have one in my bedroom that I use to help me when it's late at night or early in the morning. It lets me turn it on remotely and also decide how bright I want to make the light as well.

It can be really helpful to slowly adjust to the light in the room. The biggest brand is Philips Hue but there is also a smaller company called LifX which I think was one of the first on the scene if I'm not mistaken. They're very useful, just quite expensive which is a shame. I'd love to get more.

Not in my day to day, but for filmmaking purposes all the time. I use several bluetooth lights/light bulbs for in-camera effects. I think they're neat, but at their pricepoint they aren't worth it as a replacement for the typical lightbulb.

It might also be better to buy the smart switches instead of the bulbs as well, then you buy one switch to control all the lights at once (i.e. a ceiling fan with 3 bulbs instead of 3 smart light bulbs).

I will admit I have seen the smart light bulbs that they sell and I do like what they can do but some of them are so costly and that has been the reason I have not picked on up yet. I would love to get one for my bedroom so that I could have it either a different brightness or even maybe a different color as well when I sleep.
