I thought i would ask the question, i was looking in the shops the other day and some of these toy guns look more like real guns than real guns do. They have a red tip on the end to show that it is fake, but do police have the time to see that, and you can paint the red tips black

I have seen plastic water guns that you could rob with without anyone thinking if it was real or not, they look real, a lot of them know have all the moving bits on them as well.

It's true but there's not much we can do about it. You can't ban everything. I think ultimately it's up to the parents to teach their children right from wrong.

Instead of banning things, why don't we get rid of idiots? If you wave a water gun at a cop, I have no issues with him shooting you. Pointing a gun (real or fake) at someone unless they're attempting to harm you is completely illogical and stupid.

They really shouldn't make guns look real and as pointed out the police aren't going to take the time to look for the color red which could be applied to a real gun.

There have been suggestions to make them transparent again, when i was young, all water guns were small, like and a bright see through plastic. I think that would help with determining what it was, but agreed on the idiots with guns.

I honestly don't know why people want their toys to mimic the real thing. But I guess if Airsoft marketed some goofy looking guns that didn't remotely resemble any real life version, no one would buy them.

Yeah but even today you can buy those super soakers like these one here

They look better and they are so much better with water spraying. I suppose your right, kids want their guns to look real
