It looks like that there are illnesses or syndromes that occur with prolonged computer use. Starting computer use at very early age, especially on prolonged games, could harm youngsters; and adults, too.

I don't know of any one who has been damaged as per hand in mouse. However, I have heard of and also experienced back pain and neck pain which apparently are common with everyone who works or uses the computer on lengthy hours.

Have you?

I haven't heard of people damaging their hands, but definitely backs and necks. I remember when I was in middle school, we took a computing class and the first thing the teacher taught us was how to sit properly. It really is important. Unlike now, where I'm sitting on my couch with my laptop in a position that others would find awkward. haha.

I guess with prolonged use without breaks could damage your hands. I can game for about 4-5 hours straight then would take an hour or two break. :)
