Post your writing!

It was a dark day, the sun covered the entire sky. The whole city was quiet, everyone was quiet.

A little boy, Tim, looked out the window and saw the dark clouds and he looked scared...almost like a ghost ate his soul.

"Daddy, are we going to die?" Tim asked curiously. "I heard on the news 500 people already died. The world will be cleared out."

The dad tilted his head. "Like mama and doggy Joe?"

"Yeah," Tim said. "Can we go where mama is?"

"Do you want to be there?" The dad asked his son.

"Sort of, would daddy come with me? If I can be with mama and daddy everything would be fine."

The little boy opened his eyes in bed screaming and his mom came in.

"Tim! Did you get hurt? Did you almost fall in the toilet?" His mom asked.

"No, I thought you died," Tim said with a sad face.

"Me and your dad are alive," his mom explained. "Always?"

"Not a lie?" Tim said.

"No, not a lie," his mom said.

His mom got up and shut his door saying "good night." She closed the door.

"We're all alive, for now."

^ Wow... That was very emotional. Deep stuff, I wonder how you come up with all this. My story, now.

There was a girl named Susie and her cousin named Jason Bumba. They were very happy teens and lived in SimCity. One day a couple of years ago, Susie met her great friend, Shannon. Shannon was feeling lonely and Susie thought she wanted a man.

"Hey, Shannon, how are you?" Susie asked her.

"I'm okay," Shannon replied dully.

"Oh, really? How's school?"

"Lame."

"Riiiiight. Are you hanging out with anyone any time soon?"

"Nope. Just sitting here. I don't wanna go back to school, though, but I'm bored with summer." Shannon sighed.

"Do you want a boyfriend?"

Shannon nearly choked on her tea. "What?"

"Okay, I know you don't, but it wouldn't hurt to meet someone. You know, you're at that age and all."

"Um..."

"How about you meet my cousin, Jason Bumba tomorrow?"

"If you really want me to."

"I'm sure you'll get along swimmingly," Susie assured her with confidence. Shannon sat down on her couch and kept her blank expression. As Susie said goodbye to Shannon, she walked out the door with a confident grin. Sure, she never actually set people up before, but Susie was born with a keen eye for relationships and would only hope for the best for her good friend.

The following afternoon, Susie brought Jason with her to the local mall. Not too long after, Shannon met up with them in the food court (it was amazing how she managed to spot them and get past the swarm of people).

"Hi Shannon!" Susie greeted her friend. "This is my cousin, Jason!" He was about six foot two, had green eyes and dark hair. He wore a blue plaid shirt and tan corduroy pants. He had a warm expression and seemed very open to meeting Shannon.

"Hi! It's nice to meet you!" Jason said, and shook Shannon's hand.

"Nice to meet you, too." Unfortunately, Shannon did not show the same interest. Susie poked her.

"Be nice, please. I told him so much about you and he said you seem like a lot of fun," she whispered.

"Fine, fine," Shannon muttered.

"Why don't you two go walk around the mall? I don't mind going shopping for an hour. We can meet back here at 2," Susie suggested.

"Okay," Shannon replied flatly.

"Great!" Jason said with considerably more enthusiasm.

Susie went to go to HMV to look for heavy metal CDs and then went to about ten different clothing and shoe stores. Jason and Shannon just walked around the mall, occasionally looking through windows.

"So, tell me about yourself, Shannon. Susie has already told me a lot, but I'd really like to get to know you more," Jason said politely, his striking eyes beaming at Shannon.

"I like watching TV," Shannon replied, bored.

"Such as?" Jason asked.

"You know, whatever's on. My parents watch a lot of TV and I overhear it when I'm on the computer talking to Susie."

"Oh, okay, I see. Do you play any sports?"

Shannon gave a genuine laugh. "Nope."

As 2 o'clock approached, Susie had made a *couple* of purchases with her money from work. She was going to meet her cousin and Shannon at the front entrance. She hoped that everything went well, Shannon looked like she could use some excitement in her life. Even if there was no longterm relationship, which she was not expecting anyway, at least she could have met someone new.

"Hey!" Shannon said, running over to Susie. She was holding Jason's hand. Susie raised an eyebrow.

"What's this I see?" Susie asked, expectantly.

"Nothing, I don't like him," Shannon answered quickly. Jason turned his face and appeared to be hiding a laugh.

"Whatever you say," Susie replied, not bothering to argue with Shannon. "Do you want two want to hang out anytime soon?"

"Sure," Shannon replied.

"Okay, have fun," Susie said as she began to walk away.

"Wait! Why aren't you coming?" Shannon demanded.

"Pfft. As if."

What'll happen next? That's the mystery!
