Toby has been missing from his home in Plainfield, IL since Saturday, September 24th. He escaped from the yard during their move to Lockport, someone left the gate unlocked.

Toby was rescued from an abusive/neglectful situation one year ago by him mom, Trish. Toby was tethered on a short chain on a vacant piece of land, fed whenever his owner thought to go there and do so, sometimes only once or twice a week. Upon his rescue, Toby became part of a family, loved and cherished. His family wants their boy home.
Toby is microchipped, is around 110 lbs. He is an American Bulldog mix, white with tan markings.

Toby was last seen in Plainfield, Illinois in Walkers Grove Subdivision, 135th and Rt 30.

There is a REWARD IF FOUND!
Please contact Trish at Trish at: 630-631-2442 or t.hinshaw@infantswim.com if you have any information or are able to help post flyers or search for Toby.
Thank you and please keep Toby in your prayers!

Re: Who found that dog a little while back?

I think I remember that post, she found the dog tied to a bumper? It was brown with white, possibly a pit. Took it to the vets office and is looking for a home for it? Local, yes?

Re: Who found that dog a little while back?

I just looked...it's not Toby :(

I'll change the title maybe some of our Plainfield peeps have seen him.

How did it get back to the abusive owners to be chained to the car (if it is the same dog?) and then be rescued by dragonfly? Either dates are messed up or 2 different dogs I think.

It wasn't :pout: missing pets always make me sad. I'd be lost without my little man so I always look at those posters and I though wait! maybe that's the dog! But alas...it wasn't.

Isn't it terrible that more than one person is chaining their dog to a car??? You think it is such a fluke and then bam you read about it again. Terrible.

It's unbelievable :pout:

For that matter its unbelievable that people chain their children up and keep them in cages etc. :surrender::surrender::surrender:

There are soooo many sickos in this world

I want to find him and return him to his owner!! He has to be terrified!! I need to return the favor to the wonderful people that found and kept my boy fora whole week!! They did everything to find me and finally took him to the vet and had his rabies tags traced by to the vet that administered it and got in contact with me! Wow, just remembering that again brings back bad scary memories and no puppy or owner deserves this! I will have my eyes peeled, even though I live in Naperville, you would be surprised how far they can get around!

I hope they are checking all the pounds because it's s pit, if they find him, they will not have much takers to adopt em.

The pit bull was me- this is a different dog. What a cute dog, though! My girlfriend has an American Bulldog that looks just like that one. That's a huge dog, someone should see it soon enough! Hopefully he's ok. :(
