Need a cute puppy name!!

Seriously? They can't all be yappers. I can't have one of those. The last dog we had barked ALL the time even if I was on the phone. No way, can't have that.

Might want to rethink it then. My Mom has 4 dogs.................3 Westies (terriers) and Foxy..............when we go over there it's f'ing chaos for a long time until they calm down...........then one of them sees a squirrel out the window and it starts all over again. My DH HATES going over there. And get this, I'm not allowed to bring my well mannered girl over there because her beasts would attack her. :gah:
 
I had a Yorkie when I was a kid and she wasn't a yapper. Her name was Tina. She was the only dog we ever bought. Well, one of my uncles actually bought her as a gift to me. A year later he bought me a Siamese cat named Becky. After that, they've all been either strays or shelter animals.

My neighbor has a Westie who loves to bark. Sweet dog but barks like crazy.
 
we had a chihuahua, and he was far from a normal chihuahua, as he did not yap or bark at everything!! lol thank goodness too! my boys named her Hannah until we found out we actually had a boy! so his name is now Marley.
 
Let me tell you a dog to avoid - the MinPin. A friend of mine has one. Crazy **** dog. Barks like crazy. Jumps on everything, including kitchen counters. He posted this pic of his dog the day of the inauguration. Apparently his dog wasn't feeling very bi-partisan that day. :giggles:

I have a MinPin! He is a good boy. He *rarely* barks. He wouldn't DREAM of getting on the counters or the sofa, for that matter. He's like that really good child that makes you think "Let's have another!" and then you do & you end up with a Walter.

We have one of those bark collars. After awhile we take it off the Basset hound. Eventually the MinPin will go back to barking a little & you just have to show him the collar & he is quiet for MONTHS. :lol:

My parents last terrier was Dizzy.

Dizzy or Lizzy is cute too.

I absolutely LOVE this! We have a yellow lab/basset hound mix (girl) but she is so chubby and lazy...she's the best! She looks like a lab but has longer ears:). Her sisters had the short basset legs super cute!

As for names, Lucy, Molly, Dixie, Roxie, Martha (my kids love Martha Speaks!) that's all I've got!
 
Alright Dragonfly, I just finished reading this thread and saw your basset is a barker:(. My mix almost NEVER barks. Our black lab mix on the other hand...
 
My Basset hound is a ****!

But don't tell alove that...I'm trying to pawn him off on her instead of the yapper she's set on. ;)
