Im doing ik but I lost it last night....when we got back to the hospital we were informed that becouse her next of kin has not signed the release for we will no longer be able to get information over the phone....I told the nurse 'you mean the next of kin that didnt show up until Wednesday, hant seen her today (Thursday) and has to be escorted by security and is currently passed out drunk in his hotel room?' she replied 'yes'
I asked her is there was an emergency could they call us and she said 'no, Im sorry ma'am' I said excuse me walked away and started balling
we got that straight I am still not allowed to call but if there is an emergency they will inform me, her husband is at the hospital with my DH not to get the **** release signed......DH, my sister and my other sisters DH will be flying home this afternoon me and Rose are rooting in for a nice long stay at the hotel we arnt leaving until shes off the vent and some decisions have been made regarding mental health treatment
my mothers husband signed the papers today for me to call and get information my DH met him at the hospital and made sure he did it, Robin saw my mother for 5 whole minutes before he left hes now gone home they live 3 hours away

I just can't imagine what you are going through. Hang in there. Hoping your mom has a speedy and full recovery and then get the help she needs afterwards. (((Hugs)) to all of you.
Let this ride, but HOW ARE YOU? Red asked. It sucks. It must be an overfilling well of emotions. Right now she is getting better, and you have to handle your part for your well being. Do what you can to be sure to sleep and eat. I wish you all the love in the world.
Im back at home my sister and I left Missouri on Sunday afternoon...on the way home we stopped at The Laura Ingles-Wilder Museum, The Civil Rights Museum, Graceland, stayed at the Heart Break Hotel (nasty), a Sheriton and a Hilton (wont ever happen again my sister was paying)
my mom was in ICU from Sunday July 8th- Monday July 16th, when she was transfered to a stepdown unit the first day she pulled out 4 feeding tubes while restrained, so they left it out (they did a swallow study and gave her purreed food) however she continiously messed with the stiches on her face and her PIC line, on Wed they stopped sedating her, on Thursday she was able to talk to her husband, he had been banned from the hospital after the first few days for showing up drunk, before Thursday she was my mom cuddy nice and loving by Friday she only wanted him and wasnt interesed in even seeing us......when we left on Sunday she wouldnt come out of the bathroom (she was talking to him) for over half an hour when she came out she didnt even say 'HI' and read her magazine, when we told her we were going home she shrugged her shoulders and said 'bye, im gonna call Robin'
I talked to the social worker on Monday afternon she was being transfered to the mental health ward, they had taken her cell phone (Robin had brought it to her and then waited for security to escort him out) becouse she wouldnt do anything but talk to him and was becomming 'agitated and agressive' I tried to call Tuesday but mom had changed the password I chose and I was unable to talk to her or get info in Missouri it is a 96 hour hold so she will either be realeased tomorrow evening or they will obtain a order for an addition 21 day hold.............
I just thought of this about a hour after we left the hospital my mom called and it went to voice mail when we checked it the message was 'hi honey, I miss you, I love you' me and Rose looked at each other and were like 'mabye she wised up' when we called back she said 'oh I was calling Robin, not you I gotta go' and I HIT THE ****ING GAS PEDDLE HARDER
medically she is fine mostly her jaw was completly reconstructed she has a scar down the side of her mouth and around the underside of her chin her chin shes already interviewing plastic surgons
