Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows of any clinics that perform surgeries on dogs at a low cost in the chicago or suburb area?

Today my dog went to the doctor and I was told she needed surgery to remove a small mass protruding from her vulva plus she needed to be spade. They said she had an infection in her uterus. Well at the end I was told it would cost me $2000-$2500!!! :faint::faint: Right now my money is very tight and would appreciate if anyone can recommend clinics that are low cost on surgeries.

Thanks

My sister is Crystal, a volunteer there and knows the surgeons and director of the clinic.

In North Aurora near I-88 and the Rt 31 exit.

If you're within driving distance of there, call and ask if this surgery can be scheduled. Nonprofit clinic.

I've never been there myself, but I've heard Fox Lake Animal Hospital has very reasonable rates. No appointments -- you walk in and wait your turn; it can take hours to be seen. If you have more time than money, it could be worth waiting.

Wonder Lake vet. clinic is fine....they do a decent job....heard good things about Fox Lake clinic too....in fact Mrs.Piggy from here takes here dogs to the Fox Lake clinic...good luck...I know pet surgery can be so expensive.

Thanks everyone! she will have surgery next week. Found a place which will do surgery less than $1000 which is better than the other place. Her case is a bit complicated, if it wasn't I would have taken her to Paws clinic to have her spay. But thanks again for replying to my post.

Also if anyone is looking for low cost vaccines like rabies you can check out www.luvmypet.com $29 dollars for 1 year rabies shot for dogs. They got to Petco to give vaccines. No charge for office visit.

This place is wonderful! At least they were about 5 years ago, haven't been there since.
