Anyone ever attend a seminar? We're going to one tonight. I'm kinda excited. A guy at Joel's work told him about it. (It's at his church.) The preview made it look like sort of a Mars/Venus sort of thing with some humor. I said sure, sign us up.

I told my mom about it and she was like "what?". I tried to explain what it was and she sort of groaned an "Oh." For kicks, I offered for her to come to and she was very adamant. "No! Nah-uh!" Then at lunch today I think she was trying to make fun of me for going because she was talking to my dad "Honey, did you want to go to that marriage thing? I didn't think you did!"

Oh well. Our relationships are just different. I think we have a good marriage and anything I can do to make it better and have fun while learning something new I'm all for.

Joel laughs because the other night she was talking about how her and my dad only fight once a year. It's more like once a day...they're a lot like Frank & Marie on Raymond. My dad just lets her go on.

It just bugged me because for her to be like that she has to think they're perfect. Nobody's perfect.

Have fun and let us know how it was. I do think laughter is key too. One of mine and DH's favorite things to do is go to comedy places or at the very least watch comedy specials on tv.

It was really cool. I wish it was the live deal, but the video was good. It did a good job explaining how men and women are different and how that translate in our relationship. He also gives ways to help understand the differences so you can communicate better. And all that while making you laugh. I'd recommend it anyway. :)

Very cool thanks! Glad you had a good time! Did you....um.....make your man smile later that night? :bee:

That sounds like a really good experience. :) We did a NVC study about a year and a half ago...I swear if it weren't for that I would have killed him by now.
