I'm not going to lie, I haven't been to Church in months. I'm not sure what happened but I guess I lost interest in going there for some odd reason. The preacher was real good, but I have my own relationship with God, and really I miss going but I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

So, anyone here still go to Church or not attend? If you don't, why don't you go anymore?

2008. My friends' kid's Christening. I'm not a big fan of organized religion. I believe in God, say my prayers, and try my best to be good to my fellow man. I think that's all the big guy wants from us. I am not a huge fan of going to actual church. Heck, Catholic church is like Simon Says. Sit, stand, kneel, shake hands. You're lucky I rolled outta bed this early on a weekend go run that up and down crap somewhere else, lol

I generally only do church for funerals and weddings/Christenings that I cannot get out of.

On more serious note I do have a legitimate beef with the Catholic church and the pedophile Priests. Not so much the sicko Priests themselves because out of an sample of people a certain number are going to be bad apples. I have serious reservations about the fact that the higher ups covered it up and just shuffled these animals around to other parishes and allowed them to hurt more kids. That's atrocious.

I go every Sunday. I go to the same Church that I went to school at. I admit I stopped gong for awhile. By awhile I mean years..... but now that I am getting "way" older, I find a certain comfort by going there. Kind of like going "home"..... even the smell makes me feel better. Strange how our lives continue to change over the years...

I go every sunday too, been born and raised chatolic till 4 years ago I became christian. I enjoy going, my wife was crhistian before me when I met her I told her to invite me to her church. Still I dont beleive that you wont find salvation if you dont convert. Celebration is in mass and communication is personal so everybody's heart is different. But I find silly is a conversation between a beleiver and an atheist trying to convince each other their truth and the truth is that a beleiver cant proof God exist with a logical explanation that an atheist wants and a atheist cant proof that God does not existm it can give you theories whay it doesnt but still no really a proof.
Anyways.... true religion is the one who gets you closer to God, if you don't beleive in God its ok with me.

Cheers!

I went to Church on Easter Sunday and it was great. The Pastor was really good.

@LuisFX I've always believed in God and that will never chance. Faith is what keeps me going.
@pambeacher I've been various churches over the years and I only really liked one of them.

Catholics are Christians.....anyone that believes in Christ is Christian.....:)

Honestly, I don't go to church. And I have no shame in it. I don't need to go to church to have any faith or worship. I can do that anywhere.

When the higher power made this world, he/she/it didn't make church. Man created the idea of church. So why would I need any man-made building to prove any devotion?

I dont go to prove my devotion. I go for the comfort......its a peaceful place to be. I also like it that I am able to be around like minded people that share the same beliefs as I do. Different strokes for different folks....
