Hi All,

I just wanted to see what everybody thought about all this hype around Jeremy Lin. I think he is a very talented player and the talk of him generating hundreds of millions of dollars for the Knicks and the NBA is very exciting.

But I have to say, is he really THAT great? Do you think he will be able to back up his performance once the hype wears off.

Does he have the qualities of a true superstar where he will be able to perform for the next 10 years?

I won't say he's quite there yet but he is definitely getting there, once the chemistry kicks in between his whole team they will definitely skyrocket so long as Lin keeps on improving his game and doesn't let himself get crushed by the pressure.

Yeah, I think he needs some more time to really gel with the current Knicks line up.

I just hope the pressure and hype doesn't get to his head, because what we've seen so far definitely shows promise for his future.

Who knows whether he'll be able to keep it up and justify the hype he is getting. He is here to stay though, even if he drops in production. His skills are there alright and he reads the defense better than most PGs already. He has to improve on his D and try to not get tunnel vision when driving. Worst case scenario is that he's a legit PG back-up.

he's here to stay and his hype is justified. If this was just ONE or two games tops of him doing what he does then maybe, but he's been doing it ever since he's been a starter. Even in the Knicks losing games he puts those points down.

Once he controls his turnovers and the Knicks learn to run the offense through Lin and NOT Carmelo Anthony, then they'll be a force.

As much as I like the guy and wan't him to keep playing at this level, I think he's just on a really big heater. However if he does keep up with this level of play, then my god the nba may have the next Lebron James

I wouldn't call him the next Lebron simply because he doesn't have the same brutal physicality that Lebron James does

I think Jeremy Lin has proved himself enough. I think people understand that he can play very well with the right people and he's opened many eyes of the non believers so in my opinion, he's here to stay.

He's here to stay. He's been doing this for a while, so barring injuries, I don't see why it will stop. What's impressive is he's had some off games shooting the ball and has made it up in other ways. This is the mark of a very good player, the ability to impact the game in several ways.

He has the potential, but he needs a lot of work. From the way he plays and works the field, he is still not used to the nba style. Dont get me wrong, he an exceptional player, but there is more room for him to grow that anybody can think of.
Take LeBron on his rookie year, and compare it to the beast that he is now. That is what I call player development!

The reason I think Lin is here to stay is because he doesn't have to carry the whole load. He has a good core group around him where all he has to do is play the point position. It's not like he has to worry too much about Baron taking his spot. If he can get his turnovers under control his job should be safe for a while.

I most definitely think Jeremy Lin is here to stay. Every athlete's so called "hype" usually stays anyways. I remember this talk pertaining to Lebron and Melo years ago.

I honestly think that he will end up somewhere in the middle. He is a good player, but I don't think the crazy hype is warranted yet. Keep it up for the rest of the year and I'll start believing in the LINsanity

Bro, you should believe it if they pull off a miracle tomorrow night and beat the Heat

Unfortunately, he's always going to have some people that think he's a fluke. He has to fight twice as hard as any of the other players for that reason alone

I don't think he's a fluke. I don't necessarily think he's an all-star level point guard, either. He's a nice player who has found a role on a team that uses him well. Will he continue to average 25 and 8? Probably not, but that doesn't mean he can't average closer to 15 and 5, be an upper half point guard and a valuable contributor.

If we're talking about as a nice player with a good story, yes. If we're talking about an all-star level player, I would be surprised.
