I have a question though. Last week my husband was watching EC Superstar Shop Off or something like that.

Where do these people get all the high dollar coupons? I'm sorry but I have never run across 200 Tide $6.99 coupons or 400 free pizza coupons?

Print Shoppe is user friendly.

I'm going to guess that miss couponterage or some crap like that is not about complaining about products to get free stuff. She has tons of people who worship her.

Every store that has been highlighted in the shows that I have seen has seriously adjusted their coupon policy after appearing on EC. While the moment of fame is enough lure for some to go on the show, the deals will become less and less. So, EC will kill itself by the lack of deals available.

People will also sell the coupons that VocalPoint and other groups send. Although those freebies/high values have been drying up as well.

I felt bad for the food bank on the EC competition finale. They got a ton of soda, pizza, and some toiletries, but that's tough to actually feed people with. And they had to store all of it.

I suspect that the MANUFACTURES are sending them the coupons.... Has anyone EVER seen jack links coupons for free?? The company is located in nothing minont Wis. jack sends somebody who will be on the show 500 free coupons... value of 10.00 maximum value is 5,000.00. But they get 1 million dollars worth of advertising. Just makes sense.. same goes with red barron pizzas and KMART when they were on there.
This happened to us seriously, I give to the channel 7 share your holidays... I used to spend MAYBE 200.00 oop for 3-4 grand of food. I get featured on the news for weeks... an average ad during local news is 200.00 for 30 seconds I get 1 minutes plus 5 times a day (for the first day and ?? 10-15 seconds when they do a spot. ) I never donated for the ads but when I look at it you would be crazy not to, especially on the HUGE picture.

Yes Peggy! They had this discussion on RS too. Procter and Gamble giving away 250 bottles of tide (which costs them minimal to produce) gets all that air time and they don't have to pay for an ad!

It is impossible for the average Joe with average Sun. insert coupons to do what the All Stars did. I can see some of the regular shopping trips and getting your bill down low, but not the hauls they are doing here.

I may be misquoting Donald Trump, but at one time on cnbc they were interviewing him and he siad something to the effect " I NEVER turn down a well known talk show like yours, do you have ANY idea what an hour of national advertising costs?? I save over 1 million dollars every time I do a show, a person would have to be crazy not to take advantage of thsi."

I watched the Black Friday show. It had four different people doing their shopping trips over night. The pregnant lady from Seattle went to Best Buy and took all the Philips Razors with the $30 off coupons. The razors were on sale for $26.99. There was a lady from Louisiana who sat in line with her friend for 3 hours to get a $10 and a $5 coupon. They were hoping for $100 to $1,000. She hid some merchandise in one of the local stores she shops. (The Seattle lady did the same thing.) She used a gift card at another local store with a BOGO coupon and they gave her money back on it. There was another mother who called herself supermom. She spent $400 and went to the Gamestop for her son and there was no line. Way to hype it up TLC! The other lady had 7 or 8 kids and she went to Old Navy to do the digital camera deal and then she went to JC Penney and bought a bunch of $20 toys for $3.99.

The JCP person was the Army mom.

I loved the one who was shopping at the boutique stores. I would really wait in line for 20% off of crap

Am I the only one who was thrilled to find out their "black Friday" episode was NOT filmed inside a Walgreen's?

I didn't want to watch but DD wanted to see it. The only thing that was good about it was that younger kids are getting into couponing, which was the reason DD wanted to watch it. At school they want to do a fundraiser for an animal shelter and I told her to tell the teacher to have the kids bring in their coupons and I would help them shop for free things to donate.

I have to say that some of the coupons must have been frauds because they where scanning for $4.99 (free item) and $8.32ish. Hmmm where did they get those high value coupons? I doubt you can get so many just by writing to the company.
