So this was actually someone else's suggestion--but, things have gotten so weirdly negative here lately, that someone suggested we should have a totally positive thread of things we are grateful for. I think it's a REALLY good idea.

So I'll start...

I'm thankful for my husband. While he aggravates me occasionally, he can always make me laugh and I know my life would be infinitely poorer without him. The first thing that occurs to me when anything interesting happens in my life is that I can tell him about it. He's always been there for me and I know he always will be. He helps me be a better person and keeps me young at heart.

I'm thankful for my job. While it aggravates me a lot and I have a lot of fantasies of doing something else, the fact is that it pays the mortgage, puts food on the table and provides us with insurance. It isn't always the most stimulating endeavor in the world, but hey, so far no one has spit on me.

I'm thankful for my home. While there are moments when I wish it was bigger or that we could afford to redo the carpets, the fact of the matter is that it's warm and cozy, we've got really wonderful views and enough closet space to support a couponing habit--which is truly remarkable in a one-bedroom condo.

I'm thankful for my family. While I lost my mother earlier this year, the experience has really drawn the rest of us closer together and helped us appreciate each other more.

I'm thankful for CW and couponing--while the deals aren't what they used to be somehow my pantry is still overflowing and given what's happened to our finances this last year I don't know how we would hold it together if we actually had to pay for all our groceries.

There are a lot more things I'm grateful for, but I'll stop there and give somebody else a chance.

What are you grateful for?

With my DH being gone for 5 days, I quickly realized how much help he provides me during the evening hours and that I need to tell him how much I appreciate it. I'm grateful that after a full day of work, he willing comes home (ok, upstairs) and jumps into Dad mode without asking or nagging on my part. He truly is an awesome husband and even better Daddy, my kids are lucky.

I am grateful for my DH also...he comes from a very stable family...mine...uhm...not so much. Us together make for a very happy home for our children. We definately balance each other out. My life probably would have been out of control and his would have been totally boring....I love you husband!

for many peeps here on CW. Not just for this site being a couponing blog, because sometimes I feel that I am not very good at it, but for the advise, the hugs, the encouragement, in every day life.

I have been lurking on CW lately, not that I was a great contributor, but I could tell you not to bother going to this store or that store...and I love sharing coupons when people need them.

Our lives as a family is really up for grabs right now and very uncertain. My main goal in life is, and forever will be, the happiness of my children...and due to the actions of another person who I do not even know our family dynamic is gonna change...God has some type of plan for all of us....and I think he is shedding a light on my family. I just hope that this does not affect my daughter negatively.

I am grateful for all of my friends and family I have in my life. Over Christmas I reconnected with distant family and we have been talking a lot catching up. I'm grateful everytime I see DS smile and laugh. And most of all I'm grateful for those moments that make life worth all the heartache. Last night DS met me in the garage smile on his face. Opened the car door and gave me a big hug.

Missy, that made me cry....what a lovely way to come home...it shows how much your son appreciates you...what a blessing.

I am grateful for my two beautiful girls, having gone through hell for my new baby girl was all worth it. That beautiful face made their daddy appreciate what he had (past tense, we are no longer together) and what he is missing in life. I'm grateful their dad helps out (even though it once or twice a week) and always has my back and listens to my nagging. I am especially grateful that my mom has helped me along the way, grateful I still have a mother, I know lots of people have lost their mom in the past year, and I cherish every moment I have with her, make sure I tell her I love her. I am also grateful for the rest of my family, siblings, and father.

I am also very grateful for you all my CW friends. Without you guys I don't think I would be able to buy most of the stuff I get cheap. I know my contributions are sometimes small. With this past year being very difficult, you guys made a Christmas possible for my girls. Thank you guys! I am thankful for you guys and your families.

I am grateful for a new Day ! It has been a long week no help etc. and i was very crabby and unhappy yesterday ...... but today is a new day and i choose to be happy :)

I am grateful for my awesome DH, my 2 beautiful girls and all my family and friends:). I am also very grateful to this site for all the money I save!

That DS is back from his trip (had a great time) and last night we all slept under 1 roof.

Safe, warm, together.
