Dd5 is participating in a math-a-thon.
She is asked to find sponsors, and in return she will complete math assignments. The money she raises will go 100 percent to St Jude's.
I explained the assignment and what St Jude's is for (and also why it's special to us, my family and myself have been donating there every year for many years) and she adamantly said, "I want to help people. I want to be a good person."
