Unless you are the type that pays cash for everything, one swipe of your credit card and they have a ton of info about you anyway.
And even if you are the type that pays cash, you can pretty much bet that as soon as you walk into any of the larger or chain stores, your picture ends up on their security camera anyway.
I don't care about the store having information about me, that's kind of an given since there is a contract whenever you buy stuff....
but the fact they want a scan with all the information clearly readable rubs me the wrong way...I don't know exactly how they're verifying these, they'd have to be communicating with the stores somehow; can't they just check using the barcode on the receipt? the retailer could instantly tell them if it was a valid receipt and verify the person bought the specific item....I don't see the point of them needing all the other information
