I really want to show someone these.....

I already told you how much I like the teapot but those dog cookies are adorable & I love that Lucy's picture is on the packaging.

I'm sure you're doing really well ( $-wise ) with your people cookie business but my guess is you could make really big bucks if you made more homemade dog treats. Pet owners (as you know) will spend crazy $ to make Fido happy. If you have any independently owned pet stores in your area I bet you could make a fortune supplying them with those. And it would probably be less intensive than the people cookies - dogs aren't quite as fussy with how something looks.

And in case you missed my recent splurge on Sophie - http://www.couponerswanted.com/showthread.php?t=86273

They are absolutely beautiful...you out did yourself and earned a well deserved Rest! I love the doggie cookies, does Lucy like them?

Love the dog cookies, cookiemom! Did you recently start making those?
:shesaid:

And  welcome back, you were missed!

I love the teapots!! Where did you find the cookie cutter?

Thank You ! This was my first batch of doggie treats... it was a recipe i had pinned a while back and just hadn't gotten to.
I made them specifically for the Relay for Life fundraiser at Wags... not for Lucy at all :quiet: don't tell her please! :hides:

She enthusiastically gobbled up the raw dough..... and then the baked cookie..... since we gave her another one later, all she has done with it is :quotes:hide:quotes: it in different corners of the family room! We follow her around and give it back to her and she turns around and "hides" it again! Cracks us up! We don't know if she hates it, which I doubt cause she normally ignores "boring" (read non-penis, non-lung, non bacony treats) orrrrrrrrrr if she likes it so much, she can't bear to eat it now and have it be gone!   I'm really glad she ate the first one, or I couldn't in good conscience have put "LUCY approved" on the package. I think I had just as much fun making the package topper as I did making the cookies.....

btw...DD and I both tried them .... they're really good....... nothing funky in them, so don't go getting all grossed out ..... in fact DD said they would be good with cream cheese.

This was my 2nd (or 3rd) serious bakefest for a Walgreens fundraiser and I gotta say, I don't think it's worth it to make the fancy schmancy cookies..... while more than half of the mother's day and cancer ribbons sold, the quite considerable time I spent baking and decorating all of them probablyyyyyyyyy would have been put to better use if i'd made something cute and WAY less time consuming (probably from pinterest LOL) like for instance, the last fundraiser, ALL the baseball cookies sold and i even went home, hurried and made more !!! This year i made 14 sox cookies and 14 cubs cookies..... almost all of the sox ones sold and only 1 or 2 of the cubs ones did !

But seriously, it took a LOT of time to make them all.... and while the fancy decorated ones get lots of ooooo's and aaaaa's, you need just the right person wanting a specialized cookie like that over plain old chocolate chips  so next year, I'll do less of those for sure.

and you're absolutely right, Joan! that was one of the reasons why I made doggie treats... because my sis made some for prior sales and they did really really well! I totally agree that peeps are willing to spend $$$ on good quality pet stuff..... (although these were super easy and anyone could make them  ) last time my sis ended up making kitty treats and even filled a special request for horse treats!!!

If I do ever expand to pet treats, I'll have to charge more than I do for the human ones.... and I bet many people would be willing to pay it :)

What did Sophie girl get??? penis?!?!?!? :bliss:

The teapot cookie cutter came from (I think) Downtown Dough in Cedarburg, Wisconsin... I've had it for a while... i think it was the more $$$ kind , but it's a teapot and I had to have it!

You'll probably have to "miss me" a bit more Joy... lots of orders in the next few weeks and I'm trying to sneak in a B&B get away with BFF :huggy:

I ♥♥♥ the simple, yet elegant look of these cookies, made for a wine-themed bridal shower, with the couple's monogram !!! :bliss:

They are some BIG puppies..... 6 inches tall :hiphip:

Any chance we could make this a webcast for those of us who are baking challenged but aren't in the IL area. :girl:

 I had to take a look see which cookies were up there last... it's been so long since I posted :slap:

I'd love to do a cookie class with you, Lisa! :bliss: We could plan and divvy up (is that an :quotes:old:quotes: word? ) who brings what... I think one of the most important things is consistency of your frosting for what you plan on doing with it..... outlining, flooding, detailing.... get that right and things are sooooooooo much easier :bliss:

I wonder if we could get a room at the local library... I can certainly ask here in Orland Park... like Lisa, I know it can get tricky and crazy... you never know how many orders are gonna come along and then WHAM you're crazy busy !

Joan... glad to see you're jumping on the cookie decorating bandwagon... are you gonna bring Rebecca? :giggles:

 That's ok, Lauri..... what RozeCakes said was still a bazillion times nicer than anything JRL usually says
