I brought a new motherboard and CPU because I sold my old ones to my brother; fitting them in was a pain in the arse because the cables in my case are everywhere, there's not enough room, and I've never been able to keep a steady hand (making putting in screws an irritating experience). Aside from not being able to screw the board in some places due to the crap screws/standoffs, as well as scratching the top of the CPU (because the **** clip wouldn't go over it correctly), everything was fine...
...and then I edit to re-install Windows 7...
...and having to wipe both my SSD's...
...and having to constantly switch my computer on and off and on and off because the BIOS settings were acting up, not loading the right boot device first or not enabling USB devices so I had to short the CMOS constantly.
AAAARRRGGGGHHH.
It looks as if I've got everything working now, fortunately. Fingers crossed.
I absolutely hate taking PC's apart.
