I've heard so many bad things that my future just pretty much excludes having babies. What were your experiences? Does it change over the months?

I was the same way as you.
I always figured I'd be one of those big fat slobby pregnant women who eat everything in sight, gain 50lbs+, I always hated the look of baby bumps, the idea that a had to pop some 8ish pound baby out my vag made me cringe etc.

Really though, my pregnancy has been pretty fantastic so far. No morning sickness or nausea, I've barely had to get up in the night to pee,for the first 6.5 months or so I had incredible amounts of energy most of the time. I've never gotten so much **** done as I have since getting pregnant. I still hate baby bumps and the linea nigra but thank **** I havent gotten that hideous brown line down my belly, and really, my bump is kind of cute right now. it still has 11 weeks to get grossly huge though but here's hoping it stays cute.
Also, I'm hoping my previous stretch marks from being fat will provide enough "stretch" that I won't get any more.
Feeling my baby kick is pretty awesome usually. Not awe inspiring IMO but feels cool and now that she's bigger, when she flips around it makes my belly look like it's trying to do the wave. Kicks to the belly button or ribs aren't pleasant though.

Still balking at the thought of labor, but whatever. I've been through open heart surgeries, I can do this ****. Not to mention,I have faith that if it was really THAT ****ty, people wouldn't do it more than once, let alone many times.

Body wise, I'm already looking forward to getting my body back afterward. If all else fails, I'm not afraid of some plastic surgery.

I'm always really interested to hear about pregnancy stories because I am so god **** scared of child birth. I want like 4 kids but I'm so scared.

^^
Don't worry, me too!
I was pushing super hard for a c section because I'm perfectly fine with surgeries, but apparently unless something big happens, I won't get one.:(
So, now it's moreso just an inevitable means to an end.

Truth be told though I hope she's breech when I go into labor so they have to do it.

I hope you get your C too :P

My cousin needed one purely because she's so tiny and her hips would have probably buckled under her massive baby, the father is very stocky and tall.
I personally just worry about the pain and the possible horrifying experiences. I know some women like to push it just because they want to come across as all feminine like they worked hard but I know pregnancy will not be a picnic and childbirth is something I hope it naturally easier for me.
I just hope my figure busts out more in terms I my hips or else I'm screwed :P

Ladies, please don't let fear of pregnancy keep you from having children if you want them!!!
I was SO happy when I was pregnant. The different trimesters have different difficulties and issues, but it was a fantastic 9 months. I had no morning sickness and I didn't gain a lot of weight. Only about 35 pounds, and while I didn't get back to my pre-pregnancy weight (I kept about 15 pounds of that weight in my boobs) I like the other curves pregnancy gave me. Not having a period for almost 2 years was another big bonus! :D
Labor is incredibly painful, yes, but take my word for it; you instantly forget the pain as soon as you hold your child for the first time. I was in full-blown labor for 27 hours before my doctor came in and checked the monitor and saw my son's neck was wrapped around the umbilical cord. He immediately ordered a C-section, so I don't know about having to push the baby out of my body. I imagine it is quite painful too, but it was all worth every second once I saw my child. To be so totally overwhelmed with that immense love makes it worth it. Don't pass up the chance because of fear!

I've never been through pregnancy myself, but my sister has had one child and has another on the way.

Her first pregnancy consisted of a lot of morning sickness for the beginning, and she was eating small amounts of food, but quite often. She's always been a pretty big girl, so it took a while for her bump to come out at all. Other than that, she gained stretch marks over her stomach and a scar as she had to have a cesarean as the angle of my nieces head made it impossible to push her out.

My sister is now due in October - she has lost a little over 1st (14lb), there is no bump visible so far (but she still has some fat from her previous pregnancy, who is almost now a year and a half old). She hasn't suffered with any morning sickness with this baby, but she did get a bug which her daughter had also got, involving vomiting and diarrhea a few weeks ago - that probably aided in weight loss, but she hasn't put it back on yet. Other than that, this pregnancy has gone pretty well so far, too.
