I have been stranded a couple of times, and trust me when I say that it was never funny at all. I mean, being in a situation where you are not even getting the type of help that you wished to get in terms of going home.
However, I have been lucky with getting lifts, and there were times I had to sleep in a hotel nearby just to stay safe.
I got stranded one time I was at a graveyard. Someone I was with kicked over a grave stone which I couldn't believe they would do that but the dead got their payback because a tire went flat and we had to walk home. I probably had to walk like 10 miles but made it home eventually.
Thankfully being stranded is not something I have gone through but I can imagine it is an awful experience. The only time I ever got lost I would say was when me and my mum went out for a walk with my brothers and my mum let me and my brothers lead the way. Safe to say that we got lost but luckily managed to find our way again.
When I was in college, I got stranded because the roads were flooded. All the bus passengers had to wait for hours until the flood subsided. It was a terrible experience, and I hope I never have to go through it again.
This has happened to me on several occasions, there was one time in school there was a delay in the money I was expecting and I was already on my way to the bank. I had to walk for hours, I believe it was more than six hours just so I could manage what I had. At the end of the day, the money came though.
I have been stranded. It was late at night and I was coming back from a place. Got to a point that I couldn't find any vehicle to board home. A good Samaritan showed up and gave me a lift after I had already started trekking with no hope.
