I know as a webmaster, there's times when others hate on me/dislike me and say things about me - but it doesn't worry me much - because I'm a strong person, and haters make me famous.

So, have you ever been hated on? If so, for what?
 
I haven't as an admin of my own forum, but on the vB forum where I hold a staff position, I got into a fun spot of drama last year, lol. It's a Pokemon forum, and in addition to being an administrator on the forum, I was a Gym Leader, which functions exactly as the gyms do in the actual games. The forum has a strict no-hacking policy, so after each loss, the Gym Leader checks the opponent's team to ensure the team's legit. After being beaten (something like 0-3 [you start with 6 Pokemon each]), I checked his team and, if I remember correctly, he had at least two blatantly hacked Pokemon. As protocol indicated, I reported it to the rest of the staff and we put him into the hacker usergroup (which makes their username red and appropriately gives them a "scarlet letter," alerting others not to trade with them), which he obviously reacted to with anger. The kid got angry, blasted me and the rest of the staff in a forum thread, whined a lot, and eventually got banned. Luckily, no one else came to his side (mainly because his claims were ridiculous and false, haha), but it was rather annoying for a few days. /essay

I remember being hated on by a group of people a month ago on twitter who were saying horrible things about me behind my back.. but I didn't let it get to me as people like that never succeed in the end, specially when those were people you had respect for ;)

I have been hated on in many forums, whenever they posted something about me, I just came with a comeback and they just left me alone for a while until I found out they reverted my msn, I soon after Froze there msn and I had the last laugh :}
 
I had this one member that I've mentioned before go and post highly negative and venomous things about me and my forum on his blog and several forums I was on. Thankfully the admins of those forums dealt with it.
I don't care what my banned members say about me, I usually have a very good reason for banning them and I'm pretty lenient before that ever happens. I had warned this member at first for his actions, then tried talking to him, and then after he kept persisting and was rude to a couple new members I decided that was it and had to ban him.

Banned members, and problematic members always seem to turn the tables and make it seem as if they were the victim, I just ignore them.

Exactly and usually they can't hurt your reputation or anything as long as you stay strong and ignore them. They just want attention.
 
I gotten my fair share of hate on forums. People just don't care to have the truth shown to them when it's not all sunshine and roses. Needlessly to say, it's amusing watching people get so angry when the truth is shown to them only to watch them see it all unfold exactly as I said it would.

I agree and when they can't dig up the truth about you, they get ticked off. "Let the haters hate, but I will climb higher than them!"
