Has Tiger Woods lost his shine?

He lost it for sure. He had whatever he wanted : money, fame, a good reputation. But he had to ruin it all. If he didn't liked his wife anymore, why did he not intended the divorce? We are not in the 18th cenury anymore, you know?

I think he'll one more major. He has the temperament and the experience plus the talent. He just needs to sort his head out and play regular gold. He is too good to rule out.

I don't think he's finished, but he will never be as dominant as he once was. I think he'll win another Major, but nobody knows when that will happen.

You only think he'll win one more major? I guess that's possible. I disagree though, I think he has about a good 10 more years to try and pass Jack. For some reason my gut tells me he'll end up tying Jack's record. But I would love to see Tiger at the age of 45 of so win a major to pass Jack by 1, that would be something special.

Sorry Golfnut I actually meant to put he'll win at least one more major!

Oh since you will know more about Golf then me, any good up and comers to keep an eye out for? There was a young English lad Tom Ford was it? He looks very promising.

I think I've heard that name but I haven't seen him in a while. The best ones that I can think of are Matteo Manassero from Spain, I believe he's 18. Another one is Patrick Cantlay, he's an American who I believe is 19. Bud Cauley is another American who I think is 21 years old.

I think Cantlay is going to be a great player.

Well there is no question that he lost it all but in my opinion, he can still try and regain it all back if he is really that committed. He has been on a slumped for at least a year now and I am hoping that he will do good on the middle of this year.

I think Woods is yet another victim of media greed. They propped him up, which he did earn, and all the outlets made good money off of him doing this, but the vultures that they are, they took the first opportunity they could to knock him to the ground, and kick him for good measure.

Maybe calling them vultures is a bit too nice, since vultures only feed off of the dead.

When did Tiger Woods last win a tournament? He is now a loser and it is largely his own fault. The affairs he had on his wife has taken him down. The injuries haven't helped but his problem is mental.

Yeah it was amazing when he first burst into the scene. Looked up to him when I started playing golf. I'm sure he has a ton more potential in himself, just have to get back into the game.

I think Tiger Woods definitely has lost his shine, but there's no doubt that he has the potential to get back to where he was before.

Woods is no longer the intimidating figure opponents feared, even when he trailed them by a half-dozen shots entering the final round of a tournament.

More than one player over the years got caught looking at the leaderboard, seeing Woods on the prowl while clawing his way to the top, and figured: “OK, I guess second place ain’t so bad.”

As to his ability with women, it is clearly ONLY his money that they are interested in, because he has the personality of a stuffed animal and a face like a monkey's arse. That being said I would have to agree he WAS one of the best golfers ever and it is a shame that he went through his poor patch in the light of his adverse media coverage. It is interesting how a sudden lack of women can make his golf prowess suffer to that extent though.

The money seems to have driven him mad for awhile. Very hard to get your head back together after frankly losing your mind and watching your personal life fall apart. It was all done before the glare of the media. Anyone remember that wooden speech of apology? Clearly done to get the worlds media off his back.

From purely golf perspective, not including his scandals, he has lost some of his shine but he can very easily get it back. He is still a great player and it won't take him too long to get back to where he was if he tried.

That's right. What he needs is a coach that can talk back to him and set his straight. Golfers haven't a bad career-span, all that talent is lurking within him. It just needs to be tapped.

Theres no doubt in my mind that even if he doesn't get it back he was still the best there ever was.

I'd still give it to Jack Nicklaus. Jack won 18 majors, while also having 19 second place finnishes, and 9 third place finnishes.

Not to mention he went up against the likes of Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, and Lee Travino.

Tiger's my all time favorite athlete but I still think he has work to do to pass Jack.
