I just go to the gym to play basketball and do most of my workouts at home. I'm just not the biggest fan of working out in crowded gyms and waiting on equipment, so it's much more convenient for me to workout at home where I have the equipment anyways for what I need to do.
I go to the gym about 5 times a week. My local gym has really nice equipment, and only costs $10 a month, so I'm definitely getting my moneys worth.
But like you, I have been thinking about joining a UFC gym. I pass by a billboard for one every time I drive to school and it is very tempting. I would love to get more into fighting.
Does anybody belong to one and know how much they generally cost per month?
I'm really loving my university gym right now. There is a ton of equipment and it is free as long as you are a student, which makes it a little bit easier. I actually have a membership to Gold's Gym as well, but use it a little less frequently.
I work out at home. I have the Gold's Gym XR5 weight bench. It's pretty good, you can do all sorts of exercises with it. I also use adjustable dumbbells which are really nice, you can do pretty much everything you need to with adjustable dumbbells. It would be nice to join a gym some day for the yoga pants though.
I'll be training later tonight. Squats, braced leg squats, chin ups, incline press ups and close grip press ups are the order of the day. Simple and effective.
I try to go to the gym at least 3 times per week. It all depends on how sore I am of course. Gym membership is a big investment but if you can't afford it, working out at home works as well!
If you don't know what kinds of exercises to do, there is always Youtube. There are a lot of video tutorials there.
