Should the goalie nets have oval tubes to allow in more goals, or should they reamin the way they are?

Did you mean the gates should be oval ? So it would be wider on the sides ? I donät really get what you are trying to say. In any case, i think the gates are fine just the way they are.
Not really sure what oval tubes would do to make more goals happen, maybe better chance of it going in off the post or crossbar? but either way I think they are fine the way that they are, I would rather see goals go in because they were good plays then just because the net is different.
It was a proposal put forward to encourage more goals. The long part of the oval would face the lenghth of the rink. Less surface for the puck to bounce off and more chance of going in
I think that implementing a larger net would not do anything, as goalie equipment sizing would just go up to counter this.
I think what the league should do is to reduce the sizes of the equipment that goalies are allowed to wear. When standing up, they practically cover the entire thing.
