Glad I don't smoke!

So I saw on the news that Cook County is raising the tax on cigarettes. They are over $12 a pack now. WOW!

I remember when my Grandfather used to pay $10 for the whole carton and that was when it went way up from the $7 he was used to paying.

I hope this is going to stop DH from smoking. The prices are killing him and he buys them in DuPage.

Crazy!

I just gave DH a dirty look because the neighbor wanted to borrow money to buy cigarettes and he came in to ask me. Hey no, does he even have to ask?

Both of the husband and wife are in chain smoking contest,they practically burn away all their money! They don't have to pay rent or utilities (the wife's parents own the house and have been on a round-the-world tour for months) but the husband has been out of work for several years. They have been talking about rolling their own cigarettes but don't have money to invest in a machine!
