I will make sure this is brought up as we have a branch in McHenry so let me see what the lead has to say on this.

Also please know it does not matter where you live your welcome to come. We do have the open door on it as we try and target areas in need. Thanks for the input we are having a meeting soon so I will make sure some of these areas are being handled by someone directly.

The extra food goes to Community Care Center which is open twice a week. Info posted below

The Chapel has a community Care center (cCc) that provides food and clothing to any community members who need support for themselves or their families the cCc will be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is located at 25270 W. Hwy 60 in Grayslake

Thank you. I would think there is a need because I'm in Des Plaines and on a limited income so I have used the local services. The local ones always have long lines. Willow Creek is the best but it's hard to get to by bus. Anyway will probably be going to WI sometime this year, too high rent, taxes here. Our (DH&me) families live up there.

You need to come east a bit, I hear the local food pantry is always out of food. And Too bad I'm just reading this now, I could have taken a few peeps out there for food.

Trying to get date out there as early as possible for everyone
 
Bumping for today, please make sure if you are attending or sending someone make sure they stay hydrated as I am worried with this heat and the older folk's.

We will be trying to keep some inside but it heats up fast and there is lines outside , maybe pack some water bottles frozen before heading out? See you there and lets hope whom all truly need it will be served.

If you need info or help let me know or just bug MrsRed to get a hold of me while on the grounds if unable to.
 
We had so much help was wonderful first time in along time we had the community leading hands. Special thanks to Ernie to coming out and helping, she is cute as button!
 
ABSOLUTELY! Maggie called me to tell me that she offered to help and I was surprised for like half a second and then thought, "I'm really not that surprised!" I told her what a sweet woman she is and that they would get along well :)

(I am so sorry for late posting I just got back from helping with my Mm for last month and moving her to assisted living yesterday :( )
 
My son came home absolutely glowing yesterday. His school was raising money to buy pies for the food bank and they raised money to provide 300+ pies from Market Day. The pies go to the food pantry at The Chapel in Mundelein next week.
